Edge's movie looks awful. Like a tv movie of the week on TNT or some other cable channel. I will wait til it comes on DVD like next month or so.
I hope they don't have Kane interfere in the Rock/Cena match at WM. Just let them two beat the shit out of each other. Rock mentioned performing a couple times during his promo. To me thats a bad word to use when talking about wrestling. We all know its a show and the matches are predetermined as to who is the winner but talking about it as if its a show and not a sport or athletic contest is bad for business IMHO. I hate douchebags like Alex (or Jeter, Clooney, etc...) that make the rounds banging hot chicks for a while and then moving on to another one and another one and another one. Torrie needs to find a guy She can be with and have a family like Brady and his wife. Torrie is wasting her best years moving from one douchebag to another. |

I'm a lot more interested in Jericho vs Punk now, less interested in Dwayne/Rocky/Rock or whatever he is calling himself vs John Cena. Kudos to Jericho and Punk.

I thought I'd come on and say Rock was rubbish and get told off but no, it seems like everybody was watching/listening to the same promo as me. It's like I said last week, I wont lap up his catchphrase shit, I'm not that easy. Cena for the second week running was pretty damn good. This is not me being a Rock hater, what I said about him being good for business still stands. I agree with what you said Saints, he has been so bland with his last appearances in WWE. The fact that he will be on more Raw episodes means I haven't given up hope, I'm sure he can turn it around and pull me back in. Does anybody back there have the balls to tell him that he wasn't very good ? (rhetorical question) or was he being overboard bad on purpose to let Cena get the upperhand? I don't know . I guess time will tell. If only we got a Cena like this every week. no smiling clown. A serious kickass |

Ha! For the most part it probably is not, but what about Edge's injury? That was not rehearsed. It was rehearsed for him to attack, but his neck kind of ignored the script. I do not believe most of the injuries, like HBK that returns dancing, jumping as if he never had a "serious neck injury," but sometimes some injuries are "Unexpected." In other words, i agree the "winner is predetermined," but sometimes the falls are strange. Same with NBA, and NFL.

I wouldn't past the writers to dull down Rocky to put Cena over as a heel, but it's one of those things that we're not supposed to pick up on. Much like everything else, though, I think he went overboard with it. It's like when he flopped around like a fish on dry land after getting one of Flair's chops. I grew up watching Rocky wrestle, and I'll always respect him for that, but this Showbiz Rocky is just terrible. I thought he did a great job at that PPV a few months back, but he's just rubbing his dick on the outside of our collective pussies-- we just want him to ram it in more often. I'm tempted to say something about 'Collective Pussy' trending just because I'm tired, but I won't. Quote:

I know everything about wrestling and the business and I am still a huge fan. I took exception to the word "performing". I don't think WWE ever used that word when describing the wrestling business. Mike Tenay of TNA calls it "our sport" and so does J.R. The Rock saying performing a couple times gives the impression that wrestling is a play or a show.

I didn't mind that mentioning. That's what it is. I view pro wrestling as an art form moreso than a "sport." I'm not a sports fan. Pro wrestling is guys going out and telling stories in the ring, creating artistic pieces for the fans to behold. It is is live theater after all, only with real life risks with injuries and whatnot.

I guess wrestling is more of an art, but sometimes the real injuries cannot be avoided. To "restrain," takes a lot more talent than actually " getting hit." What is the HIGH level to reach? I get confused when ya'll mention "heel" or "give a push."

Not sure if this has been posted yet...
JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. — A former professional wrestler is suing his opponent and the Indiana-based promoter who arranged their bout last year, claiming his foe was supposed to lose their match but had other ideas and kicked him so hard in the crotch that one of his testicles ruptured and had to be removed. John Levi Miller, 23, contends in his lawsuit filed Monday that Clinton Woosley was the the designated "heel," or loser, of their match last June, The Courier-Journal of Louisville, Ky., reported ( http://cjky.it/yneWBD). He says Woosley, who wrestles under the name Guido Andretti, declined his invitation to map out the fight, as is customary, and instead said he understood the plan and that "it would be OK." However, Miller says Woosley tried to win and kicked him hard in the crotch. Miller, who was a contestant on season two of "Love Games," an Oxygen Channel reality show, could not immediately be reached for comment. Neither he nor Woosley had listed phone numbers. In his bio on the show's website, Miller is described as an aspiring WWE wrestler who has made a few appearances on the WWE circuit as a villain named "The Playboy J-Millz." Miller's lawyer, Larry Wilder of Jeffersonville, told the paper that Miller applied ice to the swelling after returning home from his match with Woosley, but went to a hospital the next day, where doctors ended up removing his ruptured right testicle. Sam Cosby, who owns Coliseum Championship Wrestling, which promoted the event, told the newspaper that Miller got his facts wrong. He said Miller finished the match and actually won it, as scripted, and he said Miller gave no indication afterward that he had been injured. "The kid never complained about nothing," Cosby said. Miller's lawsuit, which was filed in Clark Circuit Court in Jeffersonville, accuses Coliseum and Cosby of negligence and breaching their duty to ensure that Woosley was adequately trained and understood the "moves" intended to entertain the crowd and still deliver the match's predetermined outcome. It seeks a jury trial, legal fees and unspecified compensation for medical expenses related to the surgery and other complications. |
