Yes, I agree. Belladonna was not a conventional beauty and she often dramatically changed her look like a chameleon, but she always had a remarkable athletic body and she could look highly erotic whenever she wanted to. Her back arch was one the best ever in the business.

I think the overall takeaway of both these quotes is that her work will be remembered in the minds of those who were watching her when she was current. You're right, Sasha is out there heavily everyday promoting herself. Belladonna is silly for being one foot in and foot out, but its her life so she gets to choose.

She could make a lot of $$$ just streaming and screwing around, and Sasha would give her that boost to launch her career being that they're old friends.

It might be her conservative mormon upbringing that put guilt in her head in my opinion. But whatever, I'm glad we got all those scenes out of her while her body was in it's prime.

Pornstars are all so different despite doing porn for the public to see. That being said, you can make a list of pornstars despite doing porn you can tell were never really comfortable 'doing porn'. Belladonna was clearly on that list. You can tell she is the type willing to be adventurous sexually with her lover privately but only did porn because either her lover encouraged her to do porn, she wanted to please him or she got attention from the mother and father figure types in the industry that she lacked in her civilian life. In other words, looking to be 'loved' from all the wrong places. Not surprised at all that she chooses to distance herself from her porn past. Jenna Jameson does something similar but she accepts her porn past(acknowledges it, but trashes the industry instead as predatory despite her career/financial gain). In general porn is a weird industry when it comes to people who walk away.
The outside world often times does not "forgive" them for their porn past.

And the porn world itself hates any performer who expresses regret at having been in porn.

Both things should change. Having a porn past should not carry a stigma. But also, a porn performer has the right to feel regret at his or her career choice, the same with any other job.
