Separate post looking at the bigger picture from the end of show events. I feel like this is a really big deal. Cole was headlining a Takeover inside the last month while Bryan was in the main event of this year's Wrestlemania and another PPV after that.
These aren't guys who were stuck in catering like Ruby or in storyline hell like Malaki Black who then just got fired, they were well-used popular guys. And they had contracts which ran out, they were just allowed to leave. Additionally, as people who had their contracts run out, they had options. They could have stayed in WWE, but like FTR and Moxley before them, it's likely that they took less money to have the creative freedom to do what they love to do. That's why despite a similarity to Nash and Hall going to WCW in terms of feel, it's a whole different scenario going forward. |

It was fun. A lot saying best NA PPV ever, definitely pushing it, maybe best AEW PPV ever, although in all fairness I have a terrible memory for that sort of thing. Comparisons be damned.

Jeritroll countdown was one of the best things on the show. Even the smarks were fooled. I also was one of the few who really thought he'd retire. I was wrong. How weird seeing Bryan with Brock hair lol. All this is a great distraction until Page comes back. Whatever place that'll be in will erupt if they manage to not let it get out. |

I was kinda hoping for Bryan to use "The Final Countdown" as his theme. Not really a fan of the hip hop remix of "Ride of the Valkyries." Still, it's awesome to see Bryan, Punk, and Cole in one company.

Yeah me too. It's not that I don't like his Ride of the Valkyries Song it would of been even better an appearance if he used Final Countdown. Maybe down the road he uses it for a big showdown if not Omega in a few Months time. Don't worry Owens might be on his own way to AEW too when his deal expires with WWE.

No live version? lol. Fucking wild thing my ass. That song still sucks to come out too so I'll never like it and I got nothing actually against the song in general, it's fairly iconic I suppose. It reaches a very quiet portion too quickly that ruins the vibe. Goes from yay, to uh what do we do here, oh back to yay.
I don't mind that hip hop remix. It sounds amateurish but I've heard worse. I'm not sure final countdown would work anyway since he's now the yes movement guy. They'll get final countdown for a one off, Khan is a smark after all. |

So apparently $200k+ to get only 20 uses per year. Maybe they'll cut a deal for some one off like tonight or a PPV but that limited number of uses is a total non-starter since there's no way Bryan appears only 20 times on the product with music. |

I think I would really enjoy having a "tickle fight" with Canadian uber-hotty Trish Stratus because after all it would be such a shame to have to rearrange that lovely face of hers if things got real.
We have been friends for quite some time now and are currently in talks about the possibility of a charity exhibition match. The thing is though you can take the fighter out of the ring but you can't take the ring out of the fighter, which begs the question can I fake it in the name of a good cause, I have zero aspirations of ever going pro so I have no career that would take a hit... I do it simply for fun and to give upcoming fighters a reality check when their egos get a little too big for them to handle. My most recent mma win came on the weekend at an Invitational raising my record to 7-0-0 (6 KO's) |

There have been alot of wrestling matches where real fighters have gone into to the ring for a "fake" fight, but a wrestling match is a show and if you would do charity match with Trish you would need to practice alot with her beforehand.
How long is the match, what is the finish and since you have experience from MMA a wrestling punch should be nothing for you. But it's all about learning to take the bump and so on in a wrestling match, but it's quite a learning curve going from real fighting to fake fighting and vice versa. But Trish has alot of experience from wrestling so if you two where to do a charity match , she would have no trouble teaching you the basic for let's say a 5-10 minutes match and when you enter the ring you leave your feelings out of it, it's just like a play. |
