Yes sir, Wallingford.
To stay on subject I managed to get a couple things done yesterday; did laundry, sent a couple of e-mails and went on a short walk.

Let's see, last check in here was 7th of May.
Still haven't hit that long list, but the daily stuff is still grinding away. Since 7th of May I have cut the back yard twice, installed another section of sod, cleaned and organized some cabinets and done enough laundry for a commercial sponsorship. I'm not lying. I did four loads a week ago today, another load Thursday and wife did her "gentle cycle" clothes today. Six loads in eight days, Tide, call me! |

Came home from work Monday and washed out the big trash can that rolls to the street. While washing it out in the front yard, I discovered some thistle still hanging on despite all the chemicals I've been using.
I remembered the last time I put out chemicals, I only used half the sprayer, so I grabbed the sprayer in the garage. Well, the garage is hot, and the slightest bump set off the overheat/overpressure valve on the sprayer. Now covered in weed killer, I decided to go ahead and take care of the thistle in the front yard, and spray under all the bushes, front and back because the birds love to plant weeds under the bushes. That means an emergency load of laundry, everything I was wearing Monday plus a few cleanup towels my wife and I save for the very worst loads. That's seven loads in nine days. Tide, call me. Also did a lot of cooking in the last five days, tried some new recipes, mostly successful. |

Even though I got off to a late start today I completed my errands and went for a walk, it's a beautiful day and I'm happy I got out and enjoyed it.

One would think as much less than I'm working on my paying job than just six months ago, I would be super productive. Not so fast, Junior.
I've been bummed about my situation. The weather has been nasty. And partly, I've enjoyed goofing off more than I have in a decade. Today, I decided to be productive. I wanted to cut the grass before it got too hot. Mowed and ran weedeater by 10:30. I've been talking about painting a bathroom stool for a year now, got out the power sander and got it ready. Noticed some shrubs needed new pine straw, so I went directly to the factory. I raked up four large plastic tubs of straw and distributed them between the shrubs and the fence with the leaf blower. While I was at the pine straw factory I noticed one of the recent storms blew down a large oak limb. Several other limbs were down as well, but not suitable for firewood. After unloading the pine straw, I went back with the chainsaw and cut the limb into firewood. After that, I got out the vacuum cleaner and cleaned out the dryer lint trap. Long ago, I bypassed the incorrectly installed exit pipe from the dryer and built my own lint trap that collects in the garage. While I had the vacuum cleaner out, the driver's floorboard in the truck needed attention, so banged that out. Put away all the tools, turned my attention back to the stool. A voice from deep within me said EAT. So, showered, made this post, about to find the kitchen. If I get bored this afternoon, I'll paint that stool. If not, it has waited this long, it can wait a few more days. |

Wallingford, I wish I had even a quarter of your energy. Maybe then I could finally get some things done.

After I cooked lunch, I did clean the kitchen down and load the dishwasher. But after 3:00 I was in drink beer and chill mode. Cooked some dinner about 7:30, cleaned up after that and turned the dishwasher on to run when I went to bed. |

Dang near two weeks since my last entry, and what an update I have this time!
The lady that bought some of my listings last time decided to buy some winter coats for the charity she sponsors. Add to that some other clothes, $50 more off my sales list. During that time I also sold 75 coat hangers. Funny story, I had two separate listings, 35 hangers for $1 and 40 hangers for 1$. I had some intermittent interest in the listings, nothing serious. One lady took time out of her busy day to text me that 35 hangers for $1 was waaaaaaaaay too much money and no way would she ever buy that. Sheesh, ignored that. For some reason, I decided to take a picture of 75 hangers and list them for $2. That post did not last three days. It sold instantly. The same guy that bought the hangers decided to buy a dryer rack for $25. That brought my weeks total to $77. That is the best I have done since I sold all of my shelving units two years ago. Seldom do I bring things home with the expressed intent of reselling, but the dryer rack was one of them. That being said, the profit margin on that sale was huge! With that sale, my cumulative total for 2024 is now very close to 2023, and we're only halfway in. In 2022, I sold most of my "large ticket" items, and do not predict I can ever match that number. So this week's sales have really boosted morale. |

These days I feel the opposite of a sense of accmplishment.
I'm so tired of these wild variations in mood and energy...
