Dora Venter, for example, was not just a "short stint" pornstar. She was a porn performer for 10 years, she did countless anal, DP and gangbang scenes. Always with enthusiasm! The same woman you can see getting vigorously fucked in all holes and receiving load after load of cum on her face, is the woman now doing frontline hospital work, saving people's lives. Emily DaVinci, she was also a great performer, known for her glorious deepthroat skills. She would always go down right to the base of a dick when sucking it. Now she is a top scientist. It truly is mind-blowing. |

I think it also has to do with popularity….I think if you have established your identity as a pornstar or have been in the industry for a long time,it becomes difficult
To transition….or may be you disappear for 7-8 years from public eye and then transition…however if you really are exceptional/talented/deserving….then nothing can stop you. And yes Europe seems more accepting of a porn past…. |

You've probably caught on to this already, but there is a certain strain of Christianity that is basically on par with the Taliban here. You know, the kind of people that view Saudi Arabia as the ideal society when it comes to female (and even male) sexual freedom... among other things. It's why after fifty or so years of the right to abortion and even birth control, America could lose it very soon. These people see consensual sexual pleasure as one of the greatest sins of mankind (I mentioned "consensual" specifically considering The Vatican cover ups of multiple priests diddling kids). Far beyond minor things like mass genocide or institutionalized prejudice. Which depending on who the targets are, they're often times are in favor of. I don't want to be too alarmist or overtly political about it. Because y'know... it's against the board rules. But the reality is there's an America that wants to it to be more like Western Europe and another that wants it to be more like The Middle East (generally in accordance with that area's Abrahamic faiths). This is something that Europe clearly doesn't have an issue with (or at least nowhere near what America has). Somewhere between The Renaissance and The Enlightenment, religion has rightfully taken a place in the backseat of society. After a thousand or so years of the church running things in the medieval era, it's understandable why they'd see it that way. Anyway, this is WAY off topic and I don't really want to turn it into an entire conversation (at least not in this thread). But I will say I'm glad Dora Venter is from a place where she was able to seamlessly transition to another career from sexually expressing herself on camera . Speaking of which, I need to go find some more of her stuff... I think I'm gonna start looking pretty soon here. |

Beyond a lot more employers these days being more understanding of some portion of general public having sex on camera (from making on OnlyFans/Pornhub to amateur couples just wanting the exhibitionist rush), it also has to do with how well known you are amongst the general public and the specific things you've done on camera. Depending on the sex acts you've done on camera it may or may not be a big deal. A highly produced and sensual PassionHD scene? Possibly not. A scene from the Legal Porno Circus? Yeah. I could understand an employer second guessing their hire (or possible hire) of a candidate that did that. Take Sasha Grey for instance. While she's done fairly well for herself after leaving porn, she's done mostly other entertainment jobs where they tend to be MUCH more forgiving of that stuff. But do you think she could get a "regular" job? I'm pretty sure she couldn't be, say for instance, a school teacher. Hell, she got in trouble just for reading a book to some kids in a school. Again, maybe if she just did some real basic stuff on camera. But she's become rather well know for a pretty specific gangbang scene she did in the past. Hard to get away from it when that's the kind of stuff where the majority of your fame comes from. Also, as a side note... if you're into sex at all, don't ever become a school teacher. They exist as receptacle for the insane manifestations of sexually uptight and backwards PTA parents... and therefore NOT as a receptacle for sperm (or even a depositor of it). The medical field is another rather uptight occupation I've noticed. It's a career where a minor drug felony can bar you from the job entirely, or even lose a career in progress. Meanwhile, said industry has more or less caused a resurgence of heroin addiction due to their greed from over prescribing opioids. Similarly in the field of law, they allowed big pharma and doctors to just cause a drug epidemic legally. Neither of those groups have any room to judge Gauge for something as minor as having sex on camera. |

Teachers are well compensated, have good benefits and get a TON of time off. From the summers, every holiday, a week for Easter and two weeks for Christmas. Add PTO and rollover sick days that accumulate ad infinitum, as well as perks such as discounts on buying homes in some areas as well as at some businesses just for being teachers and you get a pretty sweet gig. In places such as California and New York it's almost impossible to fire an incompetent teacher too. The unions are so strong that the only reasons I've heard of a teacher getting fired is if she had done porn in the past (I've heard of a few cases locally where that's happened). Beyond that and something extreme such as murder, it's essentially impossible to get fired. Still I've heard teachers bemoan how they're underpaid and overworked. From my experience they seem to feel the world owes them more than what they're actually worth simply because they work with the youth. The sense of entitlement is sickening. |

Where is all this teachers slander coming from?
I have dated teachers on two occasions and they were both lots of fun in the sack. Even borderline freaky. And certainly I had other partners who caused far more relationship drama than either of them. |
