And I should like to make it clear that I could not vote at all for Fleetwood Mac ... Christine McVie is a fine singer, but sang on too few of their songs. And for their other tracks, well, I don't particularly care for the sound of Farm Animals.

And as far as the Metal contest goes, let me save you the trouble. Can't predict the final group of 10, but in the end it will look like this:

1. Metallica
2. Iron Maiden
3. Judas Priest

With Lars and the lads pulling it out despite all that happened during/after the Black album, and despite the fact that they covered Budgie's "Crash Course in Brain Surgery". Am damn curious to see if certain groups are in the contest though ... Led Zeppelin ... Black Sabbath ... Deep Purple ... Blue Oyster Cult ... and so on. Sorry, I'm fooked for umlauts.

I know, I know -- its the journey that will be important, with folks posting youtubes from all genres of metal. Don't forget the Brutal Death Metal though ... hey, Rotting Cock had an EP in 2007 called My Sister Is Dead And I Fuck Her Rotting Corpse Every Day. Not sure who wrote the songs ... Lord Butcher, Grim Behometh, or CorpseSplitter.

Family-friendly wholesome entertainment for the whole family, that.

One, I hope there's a metal contest, I can contribute much better here if there was. Two, Metallica as number 1? Subjectively, I wouldn't even put them in the top ten. If going by numbers and stats, sure, but that's no fun at all. Three, I'm close minded when it comes to metal, so I wouldn't put Zeppelin and Blue Oyster Cult in.

who in their right mind would put sell outs as number one Judas Priest learned that and are just fine. Metallica are traitors. anti the man till they became the man at least Def Leppard still retains that right. Megadeth did until Dave went senile. if Ozzy ain't int he top ten it'll be a joke.. When the Metal poll comes out, I think I'll take a back seat and simply follow the proceedings: aside from those Classic Rock bands that are accepted as precursors (and that many younger people don't even consider to be HM) and the NWOBHM, I just don't have the knowledge to be able to be able to do justice to such a poll...
