Alita Battle Angel

This one was so so, it didn't really move me in any way and there was nothing that really stood out as being unique about it. I love Christoph Waltz and Mahershala Ali as an actors but their talents were not adequately employed here.

All Godzilla movies are fun, even the Zilla (1998) movie (which was clearly more of a remake of Monster From The 10,000 Phatoms than an actual Godzilla movie), was very fun.
It's definitely one of my favorite guilty pleasure movies that I like to watch from time to time.

I really enjoyed this movie. Godzilla movies are not supposed to be award winners, they are supposed to be huge monsters breaking lots of shit. This is a true clash of the titans. I love that they didn't overwhelm the screen with the titans, they used them very sparingly so that when they were on screen they had impact.

Blade Runner 2049

The best movie I've seen in the last 10yrs. It's a must see.

Edit: This is a really interesting study on self perception and how our memories play into how we perceive ourselves and the inherent fallibility of our memories. Personally I question a lot of my memories.

World War Z (2013) with Brad Pitt



Actually, the very first time I watched this movie I was like...."Meh....a Resident Evil rip-off".
But I must say that, after seeing it, again, on TV, this evening, I changed my opinion about this movie. And I must say that it's a great action/horror flick, all in all.

Joker (2019)

This is a really good movie, but I didn't feel it was the masterpiece so many have painted it as. Mostly, it is a character study of someone with mental illness just trying to get by in life. As someone who suffers from mental illness myself, I can appreciate and relate to what Arthur was going through in the film. It's a very sympathetic portrayal of Joker and Joaquin Phoenix was excellent in the role, although I still believe Heath Ledger was the best Joker. Unfortunately, the movie can be a little slow and boring in parts, but not too bad. You may have also heard a lot about the influence Scorcese's films had on this and I can confirm that is accurate. In fact, it's almost like a remake of Taxi Driver, but with Joker instead of Travis Bickle.

Bladerunner is my favorite movie of all time, so I was dubious about this one, but I was very pleasantly surprised. At the time I saw it, I felt like it may even be a masterpiece. After thinking about it for a while, maybe it's not quite to that level, but it is very close and a worthy followup to the original.

I watched Terminator Genisys. I liked it. I like the girl. I was excited when it ended with a sequel coming cause I want to see more of the girl as Sarah Connor. I go look up the new Terminator and it has nothing to do with it. There were plans for 2 sequels to Genisys and they were canceled because the movie didn't make enough money in CHINA???? FUCK THIS SHIT! No point in getting invested in a movie anymore.
