Actually, if anyone watched NXT, he had a good match with Trent Barretta, which he actually won. First win in ages I think. I'm not a Slater fan, but I think he's improving to a degree. I think at the Royal Rumble, if he enters, he's either going to eliminate Hornswoggle, or be further humiliated by being eliminated by Hornswoggle.

Slater's the victim of the current WWE product (IMHO) - he's a very good bumper and is young & athletic. I don't expect him to carry a title, but he shouldn't have gone 7+ months of TV without winning a match.
I'd love it if they put him in competitive matches with the guys that are truly jobbers (Tyson Kidd*, Trent Barretta, etc.) and let him win, and then had him look good before losing against the lower-mid-card guys (Justin Gabriel, Santino Marella, etc.). There's no reason that, say, Alex Riley is given a bigger push than Heath Slater. With that said, I'd have told Slater to cut that ginger hair FOREVER AGO and gone with a #1 crop. His "Wendy's" look is hurting him big-time, IMHO. *Tyson Kidd is, technically, another guy that should be higher on the card than he is - but he'll always have the "Hart Family stigma" on him, and in a fed that's led by Vince/HHH, a Hart guy will never get ahead. |

Tyson Kidd is talented, but I think given his basic lack of gimmick, he's best served in a tag team. I mean that division needs more teams. I read an interview where he mentioned aiming for strengthening said division, and named Justin Gabriel as a potential partner, since they teamed up before on house shows. That would so work. Kidd's a guy who's much more all rounded in styles of pro wrestling: the mat game, high flying, explosiveness. Basically, all tools in that regard.
However that doesn't mean an instant push in WWE. Just the way it is. He had some really entertaining bouts with Yoshi Tatsu throughout 2011 in NXT. He was probably one of Sin Cara's (not Hunico) better opponents. The fact he's not fired make me think they at least see the pure wrestling talent he has. It's something. Maybe in a few years, he will tear it up with bigger stars like Dolph Ziggler, Cody Rhodes, and Daniel Bryan (D-Bryan first). |

Smackdown was alright I love D.Bryan getting at Big Show and stiring the pot all night it came with one positive with getting a chance to see Katlynn fine looking self, Of course you got have Randy RKO a bunch of Crash Dummies I mean WWE superstars to let everyone know that he's back. Damn how the mighty have fallen with Drew Mcyntre but the thing that made my laugh was when they showed that video before Smackdown started when Big Show ran over AJ and the Big Show was crying like a baby I don't know why but I automatic thought of this vido clip.

I thought smackdown was alright . I did enjoy the rko's all round ha ha.
nice how they have turned Daniel Bryan into Bill Murray . A sleazy mofo but I love it . his greatest strength is wrestling and we are not getting much of that but in the mean time the character development has been good |

Ever since Christian got injured, there's been a void. While I respect, appreciate, and enjoy a couple WWE wrestlers, nobody took me beyond giving props. I mean to the point where I just gush and mark out over them. I finally found the void filler, and all he had to do was turn heel. Daniel Bryan.
Now I been a Daniel Bryan fan before. When I watched early ROH episodes on HDNet, Bryan impressed me a lot. I recall a couple classic matches on those episodes with Tyler Black (now Seth Rollins in WWE), and I was super excited when I read he got signed (I wished Nigel McGuinness got signed but I read of health problems that prevented him: a couple reports note him having Hep C). Since then, I felt Bryan continued to be the best wrestler in the world, as far as in the ring is concerned. He went by that way before Jericho and CM Punk used "best in the world." Since 2005. He was underrated in the promo and charisma department. If anyone watched some ROH shows when he was a heel world champion, he sure had personality. On NXT, he showed the intensity and promo ability with Michael Cole, here and there. Fast forward to now, why Daniel Bryan never made it to my Fave Five (thank you Booker T) was that he missed that very piece of the puzzle: engaging promo, character. They didn't give him material to complete the puzzle, so it wasn't his fault. I was worried when he won the world title that he would drop it so soon, but once he turned heel, not only has he dropped it, he's more likely to take the title to Wrestlemania. That's a good thing. So the heel run has got him to my Fave Five, he's been giving better material, and he's knocking it out of the park. Last week in particular was very telling in convincing me that he's the best thing in WWE right now. The promos on RAW and SD show someone who's very persuasive, shows emotion at the right time, gets heated, and draws me in. Other wrestlers do that, no doubt. Coupled with in ring ability, and the surprising magic that came in matches with Big Show and Mark Henry (with all due respect to them), that surpasses even the guy who claims he's the best in the world, CM Punk, I think Daniel Bryan is the best right now. As it pertains to this week's SmackDown? It was so entertaining, he pretty much straddled the fence, stirring the pot and whatnot. He came across like a weasel, a snake. The opening promo was awesome: all three participants of the triple threat steel cage match got their time. Show was very emotional, but to help bring that to light without being overdone and sappy, Bryan comes out and runs him down, like a man unafraid. This is something about Bryan, he talks a big game, he can wrestle the big game, but at times, he sneaks out and is scared when pushed too far. That's not a coward, a coward is scared all the time, or most of the time. He shows trepidation at more limited times. The fact he's even talking against guys 100x bigger than him should show the character he plays is working. It's catching on with fans. Then the segments with Kaitlyn and Mark Henry all show a man being manipulative, trying to get his way. Notice how he basically dodged the admission of love from AJ that Kaitlyn mentioned. Also, how he gave a good pat on the shoulder of Mark Henry as if he had a good pep talk with him. How can anyone have a pep talk at all with Henry? D-Bryan can. I could be marking out, could be overreacting, but I truly feel Bryan is the best right now. I read too many editorials here and there about Dolph Ziggler, CM Punk, now that Jericho is back, people going back to saying he's the best in the world now. That's all fine and dandy, I like those guys. Jericho is one of my all time favorite wrestlers, CM Punk is in my Fave Five. However, I just felt more into Daniel Bryan than anyone else. That close to Christian, and I even read a case on how those two are "two of a kind," which does explain why I'm into this man. Basically, the hard work they put in, dedication to the craft of pro wrestling, and the characters they portray. Christian was probably the smarmiest character in WWE for a while, and I see Bryan adopting that smarmy character a bit. Not much complaining from Bryan though. Very convenient that I'm watching ROH shows with Bryan as ROH champion, and seeing his heel persona there and being entertained by it. He's set for bigger and better things after the Royal Rumble. Whether it be Randall Orton, Sheamus, or the long shots, Christian and William Regal. So onto SmackDown, it was a good show. I mentioned Daniel Bryan already, so no point in repeating. Did anyone listen to Aksana reacting to Natalya saying "whackjob." That was so weird, made me think she interpreted the word like "handjob." Those backstage segments were funny. The tag champs looked good, and Sant-Oshi could be an entertaining team in the long run. Sheamus and McIntyre had a great brawling kind of match. Since those two came up together and are traveling buddies (according to a Wade Barrett interview, which he's a part of that circle of friends as well). The McIntyre storyline could have a major moment at the Royal Rumble, if Drew pulls out a tremendous performance, if he even enters. Wade Barrett had an awesome promo before his match. Randall and him had a good fight, and I always love the RKOfest. Brodus Clay and Riley were funny. Justin Gabriel and Cody Rhodes had a nice match, maybe more will be explored in the future. Likely not soon with Dustin Rhodes possibly feuding with Cody, which escalates at the Royal Rumble. Ted DiBiase and Hunico had a decent match. Ted's legit wrist injury could help him out more, since fans will boo the heels for targeting it, and be sympathetic towards Ted, and applaud him for gutting it out. Now to questionable and awful things. The Natalya match with Aksana was questionable. It sure is humiliating, but one could explain that she was too focused on Tamina. I have to admit, I'm getting sick of the rollup/cradling horse manure from divas: Kelly Kelly being the top offender during her matches with Beth Phoenix. Aksana continued that stupid trend. Can't they bolt out their own finishers, or at least have a full match. Bryan Danielson matches from ROH in 2006 had him using the Small Package cradle move, and he went by the nickname, Mr. Small Package. That's a rollup kind of pin, but Bryan used it at more necessary times, better times, and plus it's from a wrestler who's head and shoulders above a lot of people. Now the worst. Mark Henry and Show was brutal. Henry hyper extended his knee, changing the ending on the fly. The match ended during the commercial break. Henry was already working through a groin injury, and I read he wanted to keep working, when the office wanted him to take a break. Well this shoots down the triple threat cage match, which I wanted to surprise and be an entertaining match. How the mighty have fallen applies perfectly to Mark Henry. From badass to broken. At least the ending segment was fine. I read the original plan was for Show to chokeslam Bryan, and then have Henry splash him, selling the questioning of how Bryan will survive at the Rumble. I think he will, he said in a WWE.com interview that he's the smartest wrestler in the world. Which brings me to a scenario that is like a match I recently saw between Samoa Joe and Bryan in a steel cage match. Bryan basically slipped out of a choke from Joe, and fell straight to the floor to win. Have Show hold Bryan in a chokeslam position, Bryan slips, or bites Show's hand, whatever, and he lands on the floor. Then he can tout how he survived the match, as a true heel would try and sell people. One last thing, knowing of William Regal campaigning for a world title shot, Bryan calling him out on his appearance on SD last week, and the fact Regal got on TV last week and on RAW, I think it's possible for Bryan to have a match with Regal for the world title. Heck, maybe at the next PPV, Elimination Chamber. Regal was one of the guys who trained Bryan. They had a match on Superstars a few months ago in England that was very awesome and technically pleasing. It would get Bryan some momentum heading into Wrestlemania. Finally, Show and Henry are away from the main event scene. I think Henry right now goes without saying, and unless Show and Bryan continue, there's no other point for Show to be there. I know the guy's been having great performances since his return in the Fall, but, time for a change, man. I typed a mouthful. |

My point is that if he still has that title without Ever defending it, then the belt Should Lose its value.

Steven Regal will never get a title shot unless the rest of the roster all go down in a plane crash and he the only one left.
