![]() To me, clearly the United Center show on the 20th is for the Punk debut setting up the first match at All Out to try and pop the PPV buys. Something that they appear to not be able to do with a Hangman-Omega match now, which is a bit of a bummer but I have faith that they'll circle back to it eventually.
There's thinking out there that the possibly inevitable Omega-Punk and Omega-Bryan matches are bigger as title matches and if you have Kenny hold through them then Hangman looks even better when he 's the guy who beats Omega. Also supposedly the story about Domino's 'complaining' was planted by a WWE jobroini or at least 'shopped around' to find someone to put out the hit piece. Trying to pigeonhole AEW as some super-violent thing when it's not, that match having one of the best quarter ratings they've done hurts the narrative at least. |

![]() Of note among the commercials during Dynamite tonight were Little Caesar's to start an PiP ad break and a PBR ad featuring Matt Cardona, Chelsea Green, Swoggle and others.
Also, Cody maybe, possibly, retired. He got one boot off on-air, got hit with the post-match thing and took off the other post-show. It'll be interesting if he's really done in-ring, would free up some PPV time as I think he's been on every card in something, typically in singles. |

![]() Legendary tag team wrestler Beautiful Bobby Eaton, best known for his stint as one-half of the Midnight Express, died last night at the age of 62 according to his sister. This comes nearly six weeks after Bobby's wife died.

![]() Early this morning when I heard the News I saw someone selling a Beautiful Bobby XL Tee on Ebay. I put it on my Watchlist and I wake up it was sold Hours ago. I hope PWT's brings back that Shirt of his like they did with New Jack Months ago.
I loved Beautiful Bobby Eaton truly one of the greatest Wrestlers to step inside the Wrestling Ring. RIP Beautiful Bobby. |

![]() Bobby Eaton suspended your disbelief. He was a heel for most of his career, but his work inside the ring was always so good, so crisp, especially with Dennis Condrey, you couldn't help but watch. Everything was done with such precision and such immaculate timing. And that was the hook; heels you couldn't help but admire, because they got it. They were more concerned with getting their opponents over than getting themselves over.
Outside the ring, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone with a bad thing to say about him. Some of the stories Jim Cornette tells about his generosity almost belie description. Whether it was picking up dinner tabs, or buying bags of groceries for the homeless after shows, Bobby was in that rarified air, like Mick Foley, of being a nice guy in a business filled with a lot of people who aren't so nice. Cornette has yet to comment, understandably, as he was so close to Bobby, but if you are on Twitter, especially seek out touching tributes from Arn Anderson, and my favorite thus far, Lance Storm. Tributes are flowing in from social media everywhere, and that alone is a testament to Bobby and his impact, not just on the business, but his impact on the lives of those he came in contact with. RIP, "Beautiful" Bobby... you earned your nickname inside the ring, and more importantly, outside the ring as well... ![]() |

![]() Good ol slip up called MJF the ref so I took it he was then I saw the preview card later in the show listed as ringside so had to rewind and yup, slipped up. I guess they couldn't book themselves a good enough finish out of MJF as the ref, but besides that, why didn't he make himself the ref lol? Is he not able to do that? He should have explained that he couldn't.
No matter what they were saying about Juvey, trying their best to put him over, it was very clear he ain't all that anymore, was very average. Jericho was more impressive. Chanting this is awesome during that match is an insult to actual awesome. Shows you how diluted that chant has become. Wrestler could fart into a mic and they'd chant it at this point. Anyone else feel Moxley has gone down the I'm a dad now route. His new theme is a bad fit. I think it's suppose to be an Onita tribute or some bollocks but why. Does he think by using it Onita will show up? Ironically he isn't as wild as he previously was before this theme change. I want old theme bad ass Mox back. The old song got repetitive as it droned on but at the beginning it just sets the tone of 'oh fuck, here we go' so wonderfully for me anyway. It fits all his wavy arm stuff he likes to do coming through the crowd and his walk. Doesn't work the same with wild thing and being the carer for Kingston. |

![]() Well, we're now at a non-zero chance that Kenny 'The Belt Collector' Omega ends the weekend with only 1 title, despite starting it with 3 as Impact pulls the non-clean win for Christian Cage!?! on the first match of AEW Rampage in a match that was announced on Wednesday. Man, that sentence has a lot of things that a year ago would sound crazy in it.
It's odd, although I guess if you told me Cage was winning a belt off Kenny I for sure would say it's the Impact title. No chance he pulls off the double at All Out. I wonder if AAA will also pull the change tonight, Andrade certainly makes sense more as a roaming champion than staying only in AEW. His match with PAC should be good though. |

![]() I wasn't that surprised he lost to Christian. Sure he used a chair but at least he hasn't got has been jobber like stink on him anymore for me. Idk the TAAA results yet. I might watch it later so I'm avoiding the results. I did scroll see some news about it but didn't pay attention to it. I think Andrad probably won and they have the excuse for Kenny from being banged up on Ramp the night before. Also adds some extra desperation heat for the All Out match as Christian is fucking up his gimmick. I can see Kenny winning at All Out and then Bryan shows up for him to face next perhaps since Punk is next Friday. No idea what's up with Page, kind of annoying me slightly. Feels like a crack in the foundation kind of thing. I feel I'd be pissed if I were him. Just keep waiting while we push these older guys ahead of you.

I feel bad for Britt and Red. That match was average bordering crap. Crowd were definitely being polite. Britt shouldn't have been cheered just for the sake of a lively manufactured atmosphere for the first show. Even Jericho made the partial joke how much did Khan pay for those towels. It's like they were going for the Bret cheered in Canada, booed in USA thing and it flopped for me because I can see it's manufactured where as Bret was genuine. You can't force star power and she is not there yet no matter how much they want her to be. Match was average bordering crap, nobody got over and it's a shame as I like Red. Nobody knew who Hayter was at the end and the heel tactics being cheered were a sore thumb. I guess we're getting back to women's factions now after that failed one by Brandi? |

![]() Hangman is getting time off for the birth of his first? child, I don't think it's happened yet but that's why he's away. Gets to double as the character regrouping from the defeat and what-not.
Note to self to write separate post about Britt Baker later. |

Also, with Deonna Purrazzo winning the AAA Women's title, and with Omega dropping the Impact title to Christian, it seems that the Impact-AEW relationship is coming to an end at the expense of an Impact-AAA relationship? |
