@MaxFJ, you seem to be connected to FJ in some way, so maybe you can answer my question.
What is the connection limit? Many of us are getting "connection limit" errors now. What does that mean? Is it a limit on the downloader or is it a limit on the file or is it a limit on the server? Can we try again later or does the error mean that the file is no longer available? Can we get a little more detail as to what the connection limit means?

CB, I get that error all the time but only on certain files. Other files work. The bad issue is, when i get the error, it treats it as having been a download so I have to wait ~ an hour to try another file.
Every file I've had show that error eventually at some point has worked (unless it was deleted in the meantime). So I believe it's a server limit, as in the particular server hosting the file is overloaded. But it's crappy coding in the server that counts it as a download (RG has the same problem, counts any attempt as a success whether it does or not). |

See that's what I'm trying to get. I'm aware of the problem with the download clock resetting when you get the connection error. What I'm not sure about is whether its worth the time to go back and try again. So far the few times I've tried have resulted in no joy, but -dAB-'s news that he does get some occasional success on the re-tries is good to know.
Perhaps I will try again in a few days.

@CB Chuckles, @-dAb-, connection limit is a rare thing. It's not related with files. And most of users never see that message. We recommend to contact our support and provide all details about this issue to get help.

Details? What details? How about this. I just tried to download this: http://filejoker.net/6z6hkyef5b9r. Went through the process of solving the captcha, waiting the 2 minutes and got a connection limit error.
@MaxFJ, you say they are very rare, but that's the third connection limit error I've recieved on three different files in the last 2 days. Is 3 errors in 2 days really a rare thing? Do you really want me contacting support that frequently? And its obvious from this thread that a pretty good number of users ARE seeing that message. Obviously, its not a rare thing. You say its not related to the files. Can you tell us what the problem is? What can you tell us? I'm happy to report this to support, but instead of me repeating what I'm told by support to the users here at PS, why can't you tell us directly so we get the information correctly and from the source, instead of through a third-party. Can you at least tell us if we should bother re-trying the download? Are we wasting our time and just triggering another waiting period? I know -dAB- has had success trying later, but I never have.

We have reset your account download limit so you can start downloading, but please be advised that this can only be done once. Please note that we have a download limit of 50Gb per any 5 consecutive days (120 hours). That means that you can download 50Gb of data within any 5 consecutive days. The limit is recalculated every 24 hours and is being reset exactly in the way you have used it. If you have used all 50 GB in one day, you will need to wait 5 days for it to reset. If you use a little every day, in 5 days it will start to reset every day accordingly. This is not a monthly limit. The amount of traffic needed to download any file is deducted from the total download allowance after you click the 'Create download link' button. It is therefore advised to not click this button if you are not going to download the file. |

Note that I sent the links to FJ customer service with a note about the "connection limit" error message. They didn't respond but it's possible they "fixed" them. |

@CB Chuckles, I meant that 99% users never see that message, that's why it's a rare thing. And all individual cases with this issue can be resolved with our support, if you contact with us and provide all details.

im not sure if this is relevant or helpful, but i will mention it just in case... the only time ive had the time out error on fj (as a free user and not using JL downloader) is when - after doing the captcha and after timer countdown - ive forgotten the page and it has "expired". when i refresh that page, i get the timed out error. if i wait for the amount of time it says, then refresh that same page, over and over i again get the timed out error and it says i have to wait again (usually many hours). BUT - if i go back to wherever the link was posted (like in a thread or post) and click on it NEW, the new fj page that loads does NOT have the timed out error and i can now DL the file (after captcha and normal timer).
again im not sure that is the issue others are having, but that is the only time ive run into the timed out errors on fj and that solution is what worked for me.

I did as you said contacted support with the details as described to you above. That was last week. Since then, I have had 3 more connection limit errors and exactly zero replies or responses from support.
So far, no solution, just more of the same problems. Guys, can we get a conversation going as to whether FJ should continue as an allowed host? Or at least, can we require the use of additional hosts so that FJ's problems don't mess with our enjoyments? All I can say is that at this point, based on the poor quality of the free user experience, not only will I never purchase a paid membership on FJ, but honestly, I don't expect them to last more than another year or so, before we all shift to some one else. The unreliability make me dread seeing FJ links.
