Yes and this is why I very often pick my porn according to the male performer. Let's be honest, with a very few and rare exceptions, a girl gets into porn because she's hot so there is very little chance I won't find the girl in the scene attractive. But if the guy looks ugly, old and/or fat, it totally kills the immersion for me.
I have no problem believing that girls prefer working with fit, handsome guys like Codey Steele, Lucas Frost, Chris Diamond or Maximo Garcia than Steve Holmes or Louie Smalls. It makes the scene better IMO if the girl could be legitimately attracted to the guy in real life.

Don't really care much about male "talent" appearance in porn. Only in the extremes I would say. Steve Holmes was never an Adonis but now he is old as fuck too, literally no one believes any of the girls with him in the scenes would touch him with a barge pole unless they were paid to do so.
Of course this can be solved by focusing less on the guys. Used to be that in a lot of scenes you didn't even see the guys' mug.
