X-Travision distributed only 4 adult films in the mid 80's and I never heard of any of them.

Back then very few video stores had adult movies on VHS and the ones that did had a little section in the back of the store with just a few titles.

They also didn't get all the new ones that were released each week.

Some would go for days and weeks without getting a new adult titles.

Many of the classic xxx back then that I've seen advertised in the back of Hustler or Club Magazines from 1979 to 1984, I've never seen in the video store or at the handful of my local adult theaters.

I doubt any of these 4 movies from x-travision saw a reasonable VHS home video release and the few copies that found their way into a video store somewhere in the country were probably not picked up by too many customers.

A friend of mine and I opened an adult video store in 1984.

What made our store different than the Mom and Pop video stores of the time with the little adult section in the back with only a few titles was our store only carried adult movies.

That was almost unheard of at the time and not only that, back then if you wanted to rent a VHS movie, adult or non-adult (Hollywood movie), you had to leave anywhere from a $60 to $100 per movie deposit using an pre-authorized credit card.

Your credit card was imprinted manually on triplicate carbon copy and we will pick up the phone and call the credit card company for an authorization code (yup, swipe credit card terminals were scarce back then and expensive for merchants to have).

We also started a new system. No deposit needed. The only thing you need to get a free membership to rent a movie is your driver's license.

We were one of the first video stores in the U.S.A. to use a membership system.

No credit card deposit needed. No credit card needed. If you didn't own a credit card, you could still rent.

We went to a Check Approval company and told them, look, I pay you so much money a month and for every movie that a customer doesn't return, you put them in the check approval system so their checks won't be approved at the grocery store and then you will go after the customer to collect the face value of the videos that were not returned and we will split whatever you recover.

That company later became TeleCheck.

So yes, if you didn't return a porno movie to your local video store, you could be keeping your family from eating when the grocery store tells you your check couldn't be accepted.

We started the membership system through them, they made it bigger in 1986 when they took the concept and sold it to Blockbuster Video that just opened up the year before in 1985 in Dallas.

We also made the rental price of the adult VHS affordable.

When everyone was charging $5-6 per movie per night with a full $5-6 per movie per day late fee, we charged $4 for the first movie, $7 for two movies, $10 for three movies, $12 for four movies and after that, $2.50 for each additional movie up to a maximum of 20 movies rentals.

Late fees were only $1 per movie per day.

Furthermore, we told the distributors to bring us every movie that came out every week regardless of what they were: straight, lesbian, gay, bi, inter racial, midget, pregnant, fat, classics, bondage, European, softcore, etc etc

Within a year of opening our first store which was only 400 square feet and had a leaky ceiling and no alarm system and no burglar bars and we took turns sleeping in it at night with a gun, we opened our second store:

4000 square feet with over 12,000 adult titles and 5000 regular Hollywood movie titles, all on VHS.

We closed our stores in 2004 when the DVD format was surpassing the VHS and when most new releases could be found for free on the internet.

At the time, we had 10 stores.

Yes, we still have some of our inventory.

I personally have over 12,000 VHS movies in storage and about 2,000 selected VHS copies in my personal collection.

Plus the over 5,000 movies I have in computer format spread out over 7 external hard drives.

But going back to your request, I never heard of these 4 titles by X-Travision and I don't ever remember seeing them in our stores.

Erotic Adventures of Dr Storm is the only one that has been around.... it was originally ripped and upped as a torrent by ott666 at PureTna many moons ago.
