I pretty much gave up on WWE when they took Kane's mask off and ruined a great character. I was always more of an ECW fan (not the "new" ECW). So, my faves from the early ECW era: Tajiri, Taz, Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio, Jerry Lynn, Tommy Dreamer, Mick Foley, Raven
I've been trying to get back into the WWE recently, in the few shows that I've watched I like: Evan Bourne But for me, the indy scene is where it's at right now. Check out some of these promotions: IWA: East Coast CHIKARA Dragon Gate USA Combat Zone Wrestling and insert shameless plug - Ohio Hatchet Wrestling I am focusing on running my shows in the vein of "old school" ECW...great talent with lots of blood and mayhem. I've brought in talent such as Thumbtack Jack from Germany. If you've never heard of him, google "Thumbtack Jack Saw Death match". This kid is INSANE!! Other talent that are featured at IWA: EC, CHIKARA, CZW and OHW are: Drake Younger Danny Havoc Mad Man Pondo Nick Gage Egotistico Fantastico Ultra Mantis Black "Quick" Carter Gray...the list of great talent in the indies is endless. If you live anywhere near where one of these promotions runs a show; go check it out. I don't think you'll leave disappointed. |

JR Provides A Health Update on Himself and Matt Cappotelli
Jim Ross has updated his blog over at JRsBarBQ.com. Below are some highlights: "Been exchanging emails with Matt Cappotelli, former WWE Tough Enough winner and developmental wrestler. Matt has been undergoing chemotherapy for cancer seemingly forever and hopes to finish chemo next summer which will mark three years of chemotherapy treatment. Matt's a warrior with an amazing spirit and is an inspiration with which to speak. I always thought this kid had 'it' but he has been sidetracked with battling cancer which has had to become a huge part of Matt's life. Matt is an assistant manager at a Louisville health club and is also finishing his college degree at the University of Louisville in Exercise Physiology. I love Matt Cappotelli's mental and physical toughness and his undying Faith. What a great young man." "Some apparent whack job is emailing me to death, perhaps there are more than one, and is obsessed with me hooking him, I think it's a him, up with Mickie James. This isn't 'E-Harmony," pal, but a place to congregate and order BBQ products, etc. This person can't figure out why Mickie hasn't responded to his/her many, many attempts at reaching her. Duh. Did you ever think that just maybe you've scared the hell out of her? As Larry the Cable Guy might say, 'Let it go.'" "My top priority remains getting healthy and then seeing where my next assignment will be. That 'next assignment' isn't something that I dwell on as it really doesn't matter until I'm well and ready to kick down the door and get back in the hunt." |

WWE House Show Results (11/4): Dublin, Ireland
WWE RAW Live Event Results November 4th, 2009 - Dublin, Ireland Report by WWE Superstar Fan Nation Bebo Raw’s house show in the O2 Arena, Dublin had a good attendence, but it was not sold out. At the very top of the seating there were two or three noticeable groups of empty chairs. But it’s still a good turnout and WWE brought in many, many, many more fans than TNA did when they held their show here recently. 1. Jack Swagger won a No. 1 Contender Battle Royal, last eliminating Mark Henry. Other participants included Randy Orton, Ted DiBiasie, Cody Rhodes, Kofi Kingston, MVP, Santino Marella, The Miz, Sheamus, Evan Bourne, Chris Masters & Chavo Guerrero . 2. Hornswoggle defeated Chavo Guerrero with the Tadpole Splash. It was announced that Vince McMahon ordered Chavo to wrestle on his knees for the entire match to make it more fair for Hornswoggle. Chavo stood up whenever the ref was distracted. Hornswoggle was able to suplex Chavo when he was kneeling. 3. Sheamus defeated Evan Bourne with a Bicycle Kick. Sheamus got a lot of cheers with some boos during his entrance. He criticised the fans for not having faith in him when he signed with the WWE and was going to show why he is on a higher level than everyone else. 4. The Miz defeated MVP with the Skullcrushing Finale to defend the United States title. 5. Melina defeated Alicia Fox with the Primal Scream to defend the Divas Title. Jillian was the guest ring announcer and tried to sing a Sinéad O’Conner song for the fans. 6. Mark Henry defeated Chris Masters with the World’s Strongest Slam. 7. Randy Orton defeated Kofi Kingston with the RKO. 8. DX defeated Legacy when Triple H pinned Ted DiBiasie with the Pedigree while Shawn Michaels pinned Cody Rhodes with the Sweet Chin Music. When Triple H was going through DX’s introduction he joked that there couldn’t be millions of people around the world watching because it was not a televised show. He then teased about WWE possibly taping Raw in Ireland in the future. 9. John Cena defeated Jack Swagger with the Attitude Adjustment to defend the WWE title.
