Football, Formula 1 and Boxing. Not one specific player because there are and were so many but I an admirer of Steven Gerrard and always will be. Formula 1 was great back in the 80s and 90s and my favorite was Senna. I didn't watch it lately because I think with all the electronic stuff it became boring. Boxing, well, I like the athletic aspect and my favorites are old school boxers like Patterson, Frazier, Foreman and Hagler.

Hockey, because the skill required merely to skate well is notable... then try to do it while controlling a puck at the end of a stick, with five players trying to impede you and take it away. As for players I like, I was always fond of goaltenders when I was a kid -- Ken Dryden, Bernie Parent, Tony Esposito, Mike Liut, Vladislav Tretiak.
