Hello,
just googled and loaded Boilsoft 6.11 with a serialnumber down. Tested cutting with an MP4 file and directstream mode. Resulting file is good. No audio - video desync! But the handling is very basic. Selecting the START and END goes only with the mouse or typing in the time. Unlike Virtualdub or Avidemux no keyboard shortcuts. This makes it a hit and miss to find the exact start and end frame of the wanted scene. Regarding this, Virtudaldub and Avidemux are easier to work with. BUT Virtualdub doesnt work with MP4 files and Avidemux just about allways goes out of sync! So for MP4 I will have to get used to Boilsoft since I do a lot of scene cutting. P.S. did you know what with Avidemux, you can revers a scene really easily so you can smoothly loop you prefered scene |

Revers: Car drives OUT of garage, Looping: IN - OUT - IN - OUT - IN ...... Avidemux -> Video : Filters (left side of program) -> Aviable Filters : Transform -> Reverse, add filter and save scene, then append the two scenes. Best to save the scenes as YV12(raw) as long you are working on them. ( Video-> YV12(raw) (first dropdown menue left side). The final cut you save as MP4 , Xvid or what ever you like. It easy, its fun, you make your own collection of scenes. Its even possible to apply slow motion. |

For mp4 in Avidemux I always select mp3 in the audio dropdown menu. This usually syncs the audio better, but it does take it longer to process the final output file. I am using 2.5.1 an old version. How do you apply slow motion?

I use Avidemux 2.55. Tried the newer 2.6 Beta version but switched back since it is still buggy. MP4 AVC (h264) works only with ACC(Faac) audio! The other MP4 DivX etc dont reach the smooth video quality of h264 from a good video source. |

Maybe the mp4 vids that I have used in Avidemux are not h264, all I know is that selecting mp3 usually syncs the audio correctly. There is also an option under audio where you can select -1, -2, +1, +2 seconds to correct the sound, but it never seems to do anything.
