im in europe, and i currently get normal speeds as a free user -- i fear the slow speed is mostly affecting our friends in the USA;

the poster below has a premium account as far as i understand (and he lives stateside too), and lately, he's still getting shitty speeds nonetheless..

Yep. 8-9 mb/s is a lot faster than I usually get while 1-1.5 mb/s is a lot slower. Downloading seems to be very much a crapshoot these days in terms of speed.

FB as a free user has been pretty much unusable for anything other than downloading pic sets these days though I haven't tried setting a Planetsuzy referrer which might help.

The most frustrating thing for me is that I'm willing to pay for a premium subscription for K2S, FB or FJ but have been unable to for MONTHS now.

When I try to purchase directly from them, they decline my credit card even though I use the same card for all of my online purchases like Amazon, eBay, Netflix, etc. Resellers mark up the price by 20% or more and on top of that, many of them are rather shady and I've had bad experiences with them (attempted scams) in the past.

I had a premium subscription from FJ for a long time but when it expired it was impossible to renew. So now I'm pretty much stuck using slow, free downloads.

Somebody posted a 5.1G file as one file on K2S, which is impossible to download for free users with there being a 5G limit.

I am in exactly the same situation. Being obliged to use a Reseller who marks up the price by 20% means K2s is falsely advertising their subscription rates which is illegal in my country, but of course K2s, Fj & Fb seem to be owned by one identity or are colluding by owning the reseller as well to increase their profits. Fuck em.

I'm fluctuating between 100-300 kb/s download speed as a premium user right now. That's wild.

I was able to download at 150 kbs average last night from around 10PM, but now it's back down to 30-50.

Maybe this is the beginning of the end for K2S, FB and Tez.
