My Hidden Sin - "The Tale" (French Progressive Melodic Death Metal)

This debut album was released last week. Another band without a Metal-Archives entry. I signed up on the site to add the Progtronic band into the Archives. No approval yet. This band's also in the waiting list for approval. The waiting list stretches back to November 30, so it could be a while before either band gets approved.

Rudra - Kurukshetra (2003)
Death/thrash with hints of black metal from Singapore, with ancient Indian/Hindu/Vedic themes. Pretty cool stuff all in all. This album is before they became more renown in the west and so is somewhat more amateur in quality. I dig it though. Interestingly, there isn't much in the way of oriental/folky sections on this album. They achieve that 'eastern' atmosphere through the guitars (leads in particular) almost alone, which is commendable.

Overall, it's good, though the production quality isn't the best.
