It's the equivalent of the full size 502 error. The thanks button works differently, it doesn't reload the entire page, so that's why it comes in the form of a popup.

Just happened to me when I went to like your post, it has been happening for days now.

Why is the website in HTTP only and not HTTPS for enhanced security?

Also, everytime I refresh the page. The website just constantly kicks me out for some reason.

We're in the process of migrating from vBulletin to XenForo. We'll not see the implementation of encryption on the old platform.

What do you mean by "kicks you out"?

Occasionally, you can run into a HTTP/502 error. This can also happen when clicking the thanks button, which then triggers the error message in form of a popup. Refreshing the page and trying it again is indeed the only solution.

Is there any expected timeframe for the switch to Xenforo..Like Next Year or is it coming soon ?

When the switch to xenforo happens, these 502 errors will stop right ?

vB vs. XF is a very sensitive topic among certain people who are more deeply invested in this matter. It can get very emotional. For some, XF is the true vB now. I don't really care about it, I can work with both.

No promises on either at this time. We know that the migration is in the works and it has been for some time. It SHOULD happen sooner than later, but I already thought so last year. I don't know.

I'm sure that if there are any news to share about this, we will do so.
