I think the entire diva* division was screwed when Kharma got pregnant. The "beat up the baby dolls" gimmick that Beth & Natalya are doing was supposed to be Kharma's, and once she was written out it was given to the other two.

I think they should have kept one a face, and the other a heel, because they're literally the two strongest women. Have Beth as a heel, with an ally like Tamina, and Natalya as a face with AJ & Kaitlyn in her corner. And then the barbie doll divas (Bellas, Kelly, Maxine) can feud each other and not get in the way of the better wrestlers.

The good news is that the WWE has recently signed a few other good wrestlers that are also good looking (Tenille Tayla, Britani Knight) so maybe they're thinking of going back to the Trish/Lita/Victoria/Molly Holly glory days.

*I totally agree that it's stupid to call them divas instead of just "women wrestlers" but I find that I use the WWE-suggested words more often than not; I also call the TNA girls "knockouts". But when I talk about SHIMMER wrestlers or Ice Ribbon wrestlers, I just call them "women wrestlers".

You are correct. Wasn't K2 supposed to be Miz's dancer? Then she had a fallout with her team of dancers, and she suddenly became a wrestler. What talents does she have to be a dominant wrestler? Notice "wrestler," not "eye candy."
I thought the Divas were going to be a powerful tool with those 5 Divas mentioned.

I thought Beth was going to replace Chyna as the Dominant Diva, but... Why did they team Beth and Natalya? At first, I thought the WWE was going to make a Diva tag team belt, but instead, they use these 2 hot Divas to prance around the ring.

According to Wikipedia, if you can believe it or not, Chyna held the Women's title for less than a year, but she also had the Intercontinental Championship for a short time.

Interesting, but I looked because that is hard to believe:
She would hold the title for 214 days, before leaving the WWF for debatable reasons. AND:
hyna also has another achievement in the WWE, which she alone holds.

In her one Women’s Championship reign, one of the longest in modern professional wrestling, Chyna never actually dropped the belt.

Only by leaving the WWF did she have to relinquish her title, and we can only speculate at the length of her reign had she not left

Manghyna thought he was above wrestling women so he would probably still have the belt.

The only diva I have time for is Layla . Great ass , hot accent and just gorgeous .getting on a bit at 33 though.

Close-she was a solo act, doing a strip tease gimmick in the relaunched ECW in which her "boyfriend" Mike Knox would stop her before she could get naked. It led to her having the "Extreme Expose" dance group with Layla & (Miss Tessmacher from TNA, I forget what they called her in ECW) and then an angle in which the other two women liked Miz but she liked Balls Mahoney. (ugh) It's crazy, she was like 18 or 19 when she started.

You hit the nail on the head on why Chyna's title reign was so short - her ego made her think that she was too good to wrestle women, so she mostly feuded with/competed with the guys.

I thought about it when Maryse left, and they actually have a good selection of women now, for me at least. Beth, Natalya, & Kharma are all really good wrestlers, and I think they have a few looks-more-than-skills women that can be carried to good matches (Alicia Fox, AJ, Kaitlyn, Eve) by Beth or Natalya. And then the looks-more-than-skills woman that really can't be carried are definitely attractive (Kelly, Bella Twins, Maxine, Aksana) so all in all, it's a good selection. The only ones that are totally useless to me are Tamina & Rosa.

I think HHH is more into women's wrestling than Vince was; for example, Kharma was HHH's second Free Agent signing, and she's literally the exact opposite of what Vince & the WWE used to hire. It's a long shot, but if HHH just raids another woman or two from SHIMMER, they could easily match that women's wrestling high-point, IMHO. I think a Kelly Kelly/Britani Knight feud could get over straight away.
