Thanks for replying. Yeah does it with chrome and duckduckgo. Mp3 files download normally but video files open directly in the browser rather than downloading.

Another detail, this is on files where there are 2 download options, high and low quality. Only seems to be happening in low quality, which I prefer for phone downloads

K2s FB and Tez which all work on the same platform are now no longer backwards compatible with older browsers. So unless you're happy to dump all those trusted addons you like to get the latest browser version and hope you can find substitute extensions that are compatible you probably won't be able to DL anything form them.

I don't see how they think this is a good move given none of the other major hosts plays silly buggers like this but it's their call I suppose. Maybe someone higher up on here can have a word with them and let them know they are shooting themselves in the foot. I mean if even half the people on forums like this aren't willing or able to use the latest browser what's the point of them being posted to when there are so many others that don't cause these problems?

My android browser which is not updated since 5 years (very old phone) no longer load tez k2s fboom page. It loops on the 3 dots blinking. I supose I should update my browser or android but I will not do because it will lag my old crashy phone lol.

A lot of people use old tech. Either because it's what they are used to and like or because newer tech doesn't operate the software they use and it doesn't work on a later machine or because they can't afford to upgrade both.

Whatever the reason a file host's job is to make files as accessible as possible. Creating a system that only works for the latest browsers makes no sense. Trying to force the issue at a time when most of the world cn't afford food and water is on a whole new scale of stupid.

I belong to some smaller forums I know have contacted them about his and got nowhere. A forum this size has clout though. Either the forum managers should get in touch and get them to restore backward compatibility or posters should boycott them till they do..

Something the posters here might want to mull over too.

Many people bulk post for credit/cash. By not making their site backward compatible K2S are making sure those opportunities are going to fall off a cliff. People won't sign up for paid memberships to a site they can't access. They'll just look for alternative links.

This whole thing is stupid on so many levels but not doing anything about it is even worse.
