I've been watching AEW just to what new Impact talent will appear, but Khan has failed to capitalize on it. I've thought up at least a dozen ways other Impact talent besides The Good Brothers could make a presence. Just this week on Beach Brawl with the Tag Team Royal Rumble match James Storm and Chris Sabin should have forced themselves into the match. Khan would claim he can't allow them and Storm would say, "That's not what you said on Impact. You said all Impact talent was welcome on AEW, so here we are. Now start the damn match!" Then I'd have Storm and Sabin in it to face The Young Bucks. Then for the women I'd have Knockout Tag Champions Fire N Flava (Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz) show up in the crowd and start some shit by heckling a women's match saying there's nobody on AEW women's division is worth their time. _ _ _ As for new WWE talent I can't believe how bad former ex-Impact talent The Rascalz MSK are in NXT. I saw them in 2 matches in NXT and their matches were awful. Everything that made Desmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz must watch is gone. Xavier could be the next AJ Styles, but there's no way he'll be able to show it with WWE's cookie cutter wrestling. I'm just happy Trey Miguel from The Rascalz was the smart one and re-signed with Impact. |

![]() AEW think they're being clever with slowly played out stories yet bring in old man Sting who's doing nothing except looking like an idiot and Shaq. Sure his match will be free but that was dumb because now you get a pointless small boost in ratings and some news coverage that stales five mins later but no extra PPV buys. Match quality doesn't sell to the casual audience, when are these companies going to understand that? Story telling and stars. AEW have no writers for stories, they just have WWE trickle down from what their former talent learned from them and what Khan likes which is derived from the past. Khan is a nerd, which last I checked aren't cool, yet? lol. There's nothing original and cool about wrestling right now.

![]() I mean I personally think AEW has been doing really well lately and the Viewership tells the Story no matter what we say the people love what they are doing. Pretty hype when I saw KENTA on Dynamite it opens up the Gates for even bigger dream Matches for both Companies. Impact's partnership with AEW is in their beginning stages still so to say they are dropping the ball is a little too early to say. The plan I imagine is to have a big Match involving each Company I imagine while Omega wins the Impact World Title.

![]() You're a fan, you watch every week I presume, you don't fall into the category I'm talking about.

Did anybody watch Austin and Rock for their match quality? We all should know how those numbers were. Fans these days hype themselves as much if not more than the product does. Just look at the Rumble. They could literally do no build up and everybody would still be excited. It's the same for this performer v this performer now being based on how good the match can be and that's not how it's supposed to work. You've done their work for them and that makes them lazy as fuck. What used to matter was you're investment in the characters/story/stakes and with them aligned then you're going to enjoy it all regardless of match quality, barring if it absolutely sucked. |

![]() The problem AEW ran into regarding Shaq is that they moved Revolution back a week to avoid the next Canelo fight and now it's clashing with the NBA All-Star game stuff on TNT, which Shaq will work.
But honestly, I think having him on the Dynamite is better because they can try and hook people in for the following week. Maybe somebody buys the PPV off it, but both AEW and WWE are setup where the PPV money is not the key part of the bottom line. Which is a better reason as to why WWE has gotten lazy because so much of their revenues are now fixed from the TV deals and this new Peacock deal just makes it more so. |

![]() And they're happy since it's another step towards being an entertainment company instead of just wrasslin. Vince's dream is slowly coming true. Guess they've been doing that while, with the movies, but those are hardly mainstream successes. I think Peacock specifically is another step towards it. As well as that sweet money.

![]() Let's not act like AEW wouldn't take the money deals WWE have. Come on. AEW are entertainment too, just ask Cody.
Most memorable things from AEW for me, Dinner Debonair, Cassidy "breaking character" during the debate, Juice falling from the ceiling and Jericho falling in that orange pond, the stadium stampede match and that Mox/Omega hardcore match that was fucking great even though everybody was wimpy as fuck about it. And as for Dyno matches, the backstage fights stick out the most to me with Butcher&Blade/Bucks, Best Friends parking brawl, also that old school bunkhouse match and I'm not old school ffs. WWE don't want to be considered wrestling and AEW the opposite but they've both got their heads up their arses. |
