Doesn't sound like a Larry reply to me, but I have not seen the note.

If someone left a note that guarantees you will never be promoted to Registered User, then you probably have some kind of history. Just a guess.

Proofreading and even the preview button are not always enough though when you're posting say an album/cd, and you have a title, a description of the contents, a cover art image link, a review of the music pasted in, and then a track list, band line-up and coded links etc.

You can get it right, hit preview, looks good, hit post but damn...it doesn't always align the same in the actual post as it does in preview. So, back to adding/subtracting a few spaces to make the sentences in the review line up nicely etc. then you notice something you'd like to alter like the title size or color and you need yer buttons or ya gotta start typing code etc....typing sucks

I would re-evaluate the "Required Host" rule in PATM.

The rule was created for a few reasons, but primarily it was intended to keep the post count down and limit repetitious posting in the section. In this regard the rule has worked very admirably as far as I know.

In my opinion this rule has created a massive drawback that we did not anticipate (at least I don't think we did).

PATM has become FileSonic Central

When the rule was created we chose some of the most popular hosts, in retrospect I feel that this was a mistake. We should have chosen the hosts that offer the best download speeds and connections for free users regardless of their popularity.

The rule would serve the membership better if we had chosen these hosts:

MediaFire
MegaUpload / MegaPorn
Easyshare
Rapidshare

I am sure that FileSonic and Depositfiles would still be prevalent mirror hosts, but users would always have a good download option with one of these required hosts.

*i would make a thread for banned people and the reasons why they are banned
so all members not do that again
*junior member rule is good but some member wait for long time to be noticed
