I just wanted to leave this here. It's a really good beginner's guide on how to create custom models. It's the one I used, so I thought it might help some people.

You gotta have a powerful PC and GPU if you want to make an outstanding piece of art.
Other than that, you also have to try and try and try, until you're satisfied with the results.
It's still all a "trial-and-error" thing, right now. But with the right prompts, you can definitely make something cool.
I would suggest to read maxhitman's posts, in this thread, very carefully, if you wanna start.
You can also try an AI Image generator website, based on the same software that's been discussed here, to try to create some art.

Yes, it is as easy as you writing a small letter of things you NEED and
would want to buy at a grocery store.
It is all about writing a good prompt. Choosing good words.

You actually do not need a powerful home computer (don´t use laptops for this)
My PC is about 5+ years old and has some pieces in it dating back to 2009.
It´s actually very crappy, but it works !
My specs...
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3450 CPU @ 3.10GHz 3.10 GHz
RAM - 16,0 GB

What I did buy recently was a NVDIA GeForce RTX 3060 with extra RAM included, because my old graphics card was already 12+ years old and
this A.I. works better with the Nvidia 3000 and 4000 series.
It does the work very fast.
As an example... I create 4 A.I. Photo-Realistic pictures in about 1 minute.
Imagine what I create in one hour !

Installing this Stable Diffusion version 1.5 A.I. into your PC is also
very easy , even if you are not a computer wiz-kid - which I am not!

Just follow the instructions as on the video

and it should take you about 1 hour... AND 2 nice cold beers

That is exactly how long it took me to download and install everything
all over again on my PC this past sunday.
I was using the December-2022 version of S.D. ,and even though I was
getting the new updates and upgrades downloaded and installed for free,
there are many new things that were added and changed. The whole program was slightly changed as was the main UI menu.
I needed to have the newer version of 1.5 installed.

So, I deleted everything and re-installed it following the video I posted.
What took a little longer to download were the 14 part huge files for
the new controlNet add-on for the Stable Diffusion.
Each one is about 1.75 GB in size... but it worth using it !

But everything took me ONE hour to be installed.

Give it a try You will never stop having FUN with this A.I.

I think the quality of your prompt is more important than the quality of your hardware (though obviously you need to meet the minimum requirements).
