The kings of wrestling were supposed to be coming in .

Claudio is in developmental with a different name now (Antonio Cesaro) and I'm not sure what is up with Chris Hero. He might be finishing up indy dates before going to developmental . I haven't heard anything .

When/if they both come up, they probably wont even be a team and no reference will be made.

I was never a fan of tag teams because there were too many distractions, especially when the manager was at ringside.

The biggest thing is that in the annals(sp?) Dx won't go down as great a team than the two guys' individual singles careers. Also, two top heels like Miz and Truth didn't have dead storylines...they just didn't have much to do at the time, so they threw them together and look at them now...name a hotter team in the company. They get so much heat from the crowd they almost burn..hahaha. I really like the pairing of Swagger and Ziggler, Ziggler is so hot right now and Swagger is a proven competitor...throw them together...BOOM...awesome tag team. Just look at all the guys that aren't doing much right now. Hawkins and Ryeks...throw them together...new team getting some TV time. Even guys that are established like Barrett and Rhodes, just look at the tag match they had Monday I believe it was..or maybe it was last week...they were an awesome team and they were just thrown together

That was my point about DX, there will never be a team to meet their status. They had great solo careers, but together, they established themselves as a force that nobody could intimidate.

My point is still correct. the M & T had dead careers and with the WWE's advertising "say no to bullies," they will need a new story to remain together. All they do is jump into matches that do not involve them. Okay, so the are matches that involve characters that are at war with miz and untruth, but "no to bullies" is more of a "do as I say, not as I do." I thought Laryngitis was going to clean up, but he re-hired an out-of-control team that nobody seems to handle.

How about when the miz and untruth jumped into that steel cage match and locked the doors so nobody could get them? Didn't that signify the end of HHH as COO?

Swagger and Ziggler are a good team with a loud, obnoxious assistant, but they only seem to fight against the same team. Since one of those guys will be out for a while, will S & Z remain a team?

Both Rhodes and Barrett, I think are a good team because they both started out in a team. Rhodes needed a story that was 180 from the twisted character he was becoming. Will this be a team that will stay together, though?

I still don't consider the WWE teams being mentioned as great tag teams. A true tag team is defined by who and what they are. They come into the company or make their push together as a team and have things about them that define who they are. They spend years working together trying to win tag team championship belts.

The Road Warriors had their look with the hair, facepaint, spiked shoulder pads and dual teamed enemies with killer moves. So did the Dudleys, Freebirds, Rock & Roll Express, etc... Just throwing 2 single's together because you don't currently have anything for them to do solo does NOT make them a good/great tag team.

Dolph so hot right now ? losing to zack ryder, then john morrison and randy orton isn't hot in my book . that is another infamous losing streak scenario. The opposite of hot. I guess cold.

I am on the internet most of the time, so I really pay no attention to the ATV, I just listen to what is happening. Luckily I have DVR, so I record and watch on weekends.
I catch most of my stuff from here. I have to agree with karmafan. I think that was the point I was trying to make. A tag team is NOT any 2 people thrown together.

The thing I couldn't stand was a tag team coming out but not together. More than anything else, that drove me nuts.

I get what karmafan is saying but you gotta start somewhere. It is a different time to when the road warriors came up , the steiners etc etc . So many territory s to work and learn. Now WWE is pretty much the only game in town. Sure, we have TNA and the indys but it is n't like it was before, obviously.

I know that throwing any 2 men together wont just make a miracle and become a great team but I have to give them a chance.

who would you guys pick as your favourite tag team ? I wont say of all time. Favourite team since you became a fan of wrestling.

It is not easy for me to say as wrestling was different throughout my watching and I started watching Puerto Rico wrestling.
Not in any order, BUT
The Invaders were a great team in PR., The Rockers, but that was a different time, so I am not sure how well they would have done in the 2K era, there were a couple of Mexican teams that never made it to the WWE, so I will not mention any names. My favorite, The warriors. They were ahead of their time and other teams use them as their mark, IMO.

I cannot recall most teams, but these are from those mentioned. Maybe add Beer Money.

First off, as far as my thoughts on Ziggler...in my mind, 2 loses don't make a losing streak that is worth any note and he is still the United States Champion consistantly putting on good matches and being entertaining.

As far as tag teams, I was always a big fan of Edge and Christian, The Road Warriors, Demolition, The Steiners, The Hart Foundation(any incarnation of them)...the list goes on and on. And I 100 % agree that just throwing guys together doesn't make what in the past would be a great tag team, but like eagle said, it's a different day and age and it's either that or completely scrap the tag division and have a bunch of guys sitting around under contract withe their thumbs up their collective asses. At least if they are able to even feature more tag wrestling at house shows for now, at least they are able to ply their craft.

And Outofmind, you seem to love DX so much...are you on their payroll?...hahaha
