Bad anal scenes. It's become too standard now and just plain boring. Anal isn't just about the sex, it's about power and being taboo. Now it's so often and mundane it's become boring. I don't care if it's the 12th cock they've taken up the ass that week, there has to be some protesting, some hesitation, some pain! Porn is about fantasy and that is the ultimate to me. So here's my complaint list about porn, and despite my disclaimer I'm going to sound like a cranky old man.

1) Tattoos. They're neither exotic nor sexy anymore. A single one can be a nice compliment if tasteful, but when you have as much ink as a Hittite priestess, it's ridiculous. (90s, 2000s)

2) Genital and nipple piercing. Good god. Who really wants to see that, much less feel that? (90s, 2000s)

3) Clinically detached, strictly for the camera positions and ridiculous positions no people really do (i.e. piledriver, foot on top of face in doggy, etc.) (2000s)

4) Scenes with too little action (70s) I love the 70s flicks -- girls were more natural, the positions were more natural, there was a fresh-scrubbed enthusiasm and real acting and the women looked like women instead of the idiot, dead-eyed, underage looking skanks of the 2000s. But the actual sex in 70s movies was too short compared to the movie.

5) Porn actors who think they should be seen, heard, or anything else besides providing a hard cock for the woman. (90s, 2000s). At one time, some guys could act and were enjoyable to watch -- Mike Horner, Jamie Gillis, even Brad Armstrong. Or they at least were unobtrusive -- even Peter North didn't try to be the center of attention. But today's actors are steroid injecting, Viagra dependent, spray-on tan douchebags who think people actually give a damn about them, their looks, or their "dropping loads" crappy, unclever catchphrases. What the hell -- in the 80s, you had boxcovers like "Deep Inside Vaness Del Rio" with Vanessa on the cover. That's what guys want to see. Nowadays, it's "Sean Michael's Ass Blasters" and it's a picture of Sean featured on the cover. What straight porn buyer wants to see that?

6) Abuse, humiliation. Look, I'm no prude. There are rare times when the story, scene or even my mood calls for just a little spanking, a spit or two, or some filthy trash talking. But most of the time, I just want to see normal people fuck. I don't want to see gaping, abuse, gagging, fingers forced down throats, speculums, multiple dildos, or anything of the sort. Porn is a proxy -- I'm imagining I'm with the girl in the vid while I'm fapping, and I don't want to do those things to a woman.

7) Cum play. Look, if that's your fetish, cool. But label the movies as such. I don't want to be watching a normal MF or threesome or group grope and end with some girl blowing cum bubbles and spitting it into another girl's mouth. I especially don't want to see the guy kissing her and snowballing with her. Bukkake's are labeled as such and I know to steer clear of them. Let's do the same for cum play movies and scenes.

8) Skanky, skinny, underage looking bus stop runaways. There are a few great women out there in porn. By women, I mean women in their 20s who act like and look like women. Not necessarily the MILF and Cougar set -- I like those too -- but WOMEN in their 20s who act like women. But they are rare today. Most look like high school drop outs. In the early 1990s, Lauren Brice was in her early 20s, but she came across as a fully realized woman. Or Seka in the mid 1970s. Jennifer Stewart and Diedre Holland in the early 90s. Serenity, Christy Canyon, and so on -- even in their early years, these were women, not jail bait. (Except Traci Lords, of course. But she acted like a woman -- jesus did she.)

But I was watching porn (mainly studio stuff from the 1990s) and everytime I was close they'd cut to the guy's face not for one or two seconds to give me a heads up he's about to splooge on her -- but for goddamn 8, 9, 15 seconds. 12) Now this is just my personal taste, but two final things I can do without -- POV porn (I get that when I fuck my wife) and porn with clothes, costumes or anything else on. I know that this thread has almost fifty pages and that I'm coming in on the tail end of a long conversation, but I just wanted to add my two cents. I quoted the original poster, because he brought up some good points that I'd like to discuss.

I started watching porn in the early 90's. However, most of the stuff I started with was from throughout the 80's. So I've been watching it for a long time. For the most part I've been able to adapt and evolve with the trends but there are some things that just irk the fuck out of me about porn.

tc315, I was with you on each complaint until the very last one. Please be clear I'm not criticizing your opinion, just offering my own. I like POV porn for two reasons. I helps me visualize that I'm the one fucking the woman in the scene and there is very little risk of number 11. Cutaways to the guy was one of the worst things in vintage porn. I don't want to see Mike Horner's (or whoever's) sweaty face, just keep the camera focused on the chick, please.

Second, I do like clothes in porn, when it fits the scene. Like people fucking at work. You're not going to get completely naked when you're nailing the secretary in the supply room or the doctor in her office. Also, costumes can be fun in certain scenes, but again it has to fit the context. I also like to roleplay, so costumes fill that niche for me.

Also, I'd like to add a gripe from the porn of the 80's and 90's and thank god it has gone out of style. I hope it never comes back. = I like POV porn for two reasons.

I don't mind the idea of filming POV scenes, but I do have an issue with filming the entire scene with a handheld camera that is about 6 inches from the girl the whole time. I very much like seeing the girl's reaction at the same time as the action and you can't do that when the whole video is extreme closeup. There's no need to cutaway to the male talent but there is also no need to avoid the occasional glimpse as positions change.

Often the most annoying POV scenes are casting or fake-casting videos. The casting director is so worried about being in the picture that stupid and distracting blurring techniques are employed every time the girl moves her arm and reveals the directors face. I really like BangBros for their use of actual male talent in casting. That doesn't mean the director can't get his dick sucked if he wants, but the girl can usually be presented in full body mode at least part of the time. Nothing wrong with the closeup POV for part of the scene.

With how standard anal has become there's probably a lot more pressure to do it now than ever before. I bet many girls jump into doing that their first time (even beyond their personal life) and it ends up being a rude awakening haha... who knows.
