Ring of Honor isn't actually all that new> they've been around for quite awhile...guys that they have had on their roster include CM Punk, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe to name just a few. They just now have gotten a regular TV deal. If all goes well for the company, they can do great things.

I feel sorry for Hogan and Flair . I was never really a Flair fan because I am a wwf guy but I've still seen many of his matches/interviews . When I was 8 or 9 Hulk Hogan vs Randy Savage was the first match I ever watched , it was on some videotape my cousin gave to me . That got me into wrestling and Hulk Hogan was always a hero of mine when I was a kid. I bought into his message I look at him as the one responsible for making me a fan .
today though to see what he has become . It sucks . And Flair still throwing himself off the top rope in his 60's is painful to watch and obviously painful for him, his baldy spot gets bigger by the week . The millions they made and they blew it all and still have to act like it is the 70's or 80's just to make some more money. Wrestlers have never been known for going away gracefully but it is sad. |

What ever happened to that huge guy that came out as Tyson Kidds body guard. He was at least 7 feet and buff.

I think WWE realised he sucked or wasn't ready and sent him back down to development.

I stopped watching TNA around a year ago when Hulk Hogan walked to the ring during the bound for glory main event and it took him about 5 minutes. I only saw Flair because I read about his match with sting . Felt they might have to go all Nikki Sixx on him and kickstart his heart.
I'm not sure if I'm going to order Night of Champions yet. I'm tired so I probably wont be able to stay up so late after a long night yesterday. Will get it in the morning though . I still want to see it . |

Kidd's bodyguard was named "Jackson Andrews" - I'm pretty sure he was trained by Booker T's school in Texas, and that's how he got fast-tracked to the WWE developmental and then to the WWE itself. Once they realized that he was no where near ready, they sent him back to FCW, but I don't think he's even there anymore.
And from the Michael Cole conversation that you guys were having a page or so ago: I don't mind him as a heel announcer, but I don't like that he shits on the product itself. He openly mocks the divas matches and has made fun of one of the other announcers for following divas/wrestlers on twitter. To me, that was basically mocking the fans that like divas matches or follow the WWE stars - who the hell makes fun of fans for being fans?!? And not to take this thread too far into the indies, but if people like ROH, I suggest they check out PWG (Pro Wrestling Guerilla), which is based in California. They use a lot of the same guys, but PWG puts on better shows with better matches, IMHO. |

So, Hell In A Cell was last night and we had two titles change hands. Beth Phoenix is finally the new Divas Champion and Alberto Del Rio won his first ever Hell In A Cell match to become a Two Time WWE Champion. Mark Henry also won his first ever Cell match to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. Now, not talking about match quality or anything like that, but what do you all think of those results? Do you think that at Vengence Orton is gonna get another shot at Henry or should he be moved to a different feud and someone else get a shot at the WHC? And Del Rio...should his feud with Cena continue or should Punk get a chance to be the only #1 contender for the WWE title...or should someone new be brought into the title picture?
Also at HIAC, Cody Rhodes had an impromptu match for the IC Title defending against John Morrison and retained...but that's not the best part of it. They have reintroduced the "old school" version of the IC title, which I think is sweet. They need to do that with the WWE title too. Also, Ziggler and Swagger competed against Air Boom in a Tag Team Championship match. Great to see Ziggler/Swagger operating as an actual team and not being at odds with each other. |
