![]() It's been a great show tonight...good stuff as the "go home" episode for Hell In A Cell. I'll explain more on my thoughts of Raw tonight in a bit.

Mark needed a little more development before he started being pushed in my opinion. He's got ability, unlike a lot of the bigger guys through the history of the WWE and pro-wrestling in general, but I think he's in need of some tweaking. He's a tough son of a bitch, but for so long he has been used as an "Oh fuck" competitor. When a GM wanted to reign terror on a coward or cocky punk, they sent Henry out. His character was good for that, and that was the only thing. I don't think he's evolved enough to hold that title right now. I think the first thing he should've done was become more brutal. Watching him knock so many people around lately has been entertaining, but he seems too restrained in my opinion. Wrestler safety is a concern, of course, but he needs to sell his fury better. He has, however, been decent on the mic as of late. Is he ready to face Taker? I'd say no, because he hasn't got it in everyone's minds that he's a tough guy out for blood and not a teddy bear. It's just something that he needs to work on. It's possible that he will fill the shoes while holding the World title, but I doubt it. |

![]() Raw last night was a great show in my opinion. The opening segment that featured HHH in the ring just to be interrupted by Dolph Ziggler, Cody Rhodes and then Christian was great. HHH systematically dealt with all of them down the line and made the crowd happy. I enjoyed how Christian was gonna pair up with Ziggler and Rhodes...unless HHH would give him one more match and when he was told that he would have three more matches and who they would be against and how Christian stormed out of the ring? Vintage...haha The whole segment was fun and lead us to a great 10 man over the top rope battle royale for the Intercontinental Championship.
It's been a while since I've seen a battle royale besides the Royal Rumble that was as much fun to watch as this one was. Cody looked strong as the heel champion, retaining after all the odds were stacked against him. Another thing I like that was done...Ziggler and Swagger working together under Vicki. They worked great as a team and I think they have the possibility of being a great stable. Ziggler has been on such a hot role lately and pairing him with Swagger just makes sense to me and it gets Swagger that much closer to the main events matches that I personally feel he should be in. Great performance by Ryder last night too. He just keeps getting more and more over and it's awesome to see. I enjoyed the build up for the WWE Championship match also. It was good to see Punk come out for commentary with his announcer's jacket even though it looks like he borrowed his Dad's jacket for the show...haha. And in the main event featuring Del Rio v Punk, they did a great job showing how ferocious Del Rio can be and promoting how since he doesn't know what's gonna happen in the Hell In A Cell that he has the greatest advantage. He finished the show looking very strong and believable that he could win the match on Sunday...putting him at the same level as Punk and Cena who have both been in Cell matches before. My favorite segment of the night has to go to Mark Henry eating the shit outta The Great Khali...all I can say is thank you Mark...hahaha |

![]() I have to say I wasn't too hot on HHH at the top of the show. I don't think he's settled into the role as the "Sharp, Sardonic Face Authority Figure" he's trying to be. It just comes off as a little forced. But maybe that's just the intended 'losing control'
undertones. But I love that Cody Rhodes came out on top though, essentially getting the last word on Trips. Over the last few weeks Dolph's successfully defended the US title against 3 men and Cody defended the US against 9... And Cody's gone over Orton twice. If Dolph drops to Ryder, it could mean a lot. Good to see a bit of effort going into the midcard which so desperately needs it. Was anybody else expecting to see Miz and Truth pop out from under the ring once the Cell fell? :P |

![]() VKM has so sanitized things, and the writing's been so bad lately, I'm referring to Sunday's PPV as "Heck in a Cell"...

![]() As much as I like how Ryder has been getting over, I wouldn't want to see him win the US title over Ziggler. The US title is perfect for Ziggler right now and he's having great matches with other midcarders for the title. I would like to see Morrison v Ziggler for the title...I think they could put on a great series of matches as long as JoMo can stay on track as for he's been kinda falling under the radar as of late. As far as Rhodes goes, I think his win Monday Night just made him look so strong as the IC Champion. Stronger than an IC Champ in recent history. I'd like to see him feud with say...Daniel Bryan or the like for the title.

![]() Ah... nice to see Triple H continue to put himself over all the other talent no matter the cost. I found it especially irritating that he decided to mention beating up Randy Orton on his front lawn after Orton attacked Steph in their feud years ago. Newsflash, Hunter: Orton is one of the top babyfaces now. YOU SHOULDN'T BE SAYING THAT!!! And of course, he continues to be Mr. Cool in front of the heels bitching at him on the top of the show. Does this guy really think he sells tickets?
Oh, by the way, that Anonymous Raw General Manager angle that we had going for a year? Yeah, we dropped it without any resolution whatsoever. You're welcome, WWE fans! I was ready to applaud the creative team for putting Mason Ryan with Vickie and her growing stable. He's been working as a babyface on Superstars for the past several weeks, but as the new muscle for Vickie's group, yeah, I could see that working for him. But no, we'd rather have this hulking, menacing dude be a smiling babyface. Because that's worked out so well for Ezekiel Jackson, hasn't it? Sorry, I just hated Raw on Monday. The only good thing about it was that they gave Otunga some mic time backstage. He can't wrestle a lick, but he's got good charisma and decent talking skills. I'd like to see where this union of heels angle is going to go. |

![]() I was Ok with Mason Ryan turning on Vickie's team because Ziggler had mocked Ryan the week before in his segment with Wolverine. (I forget the exact wording, but it was basically, "this is real, and not robots - no offense, Mason Ryan") So it was some continuity if it was intentional or not.
I'm not as into Ziggler/Morrison as Colin_Work; they had a series of matches a year or so ago (most memorable for Morrison trying to get "Mr. Ziggles" over as an insult/catchphrase). I honestly want Ziggler to drop the belt and move up in the card. He is a better wrestler than Del Rio, he's better on the mic, he's better on offense and sells the shit out of his opponents moves. Other than one being a 'chosen one' and the other not, I don't see any reason why ADR is in the title mix and Ziggler is feuding with Ryder. In full disclosure, though: I'm maybe the biggest Ziggler mark on the internet these days. I only watch WWE for his matches, Daniel Bryan's matches, and Kaitlyn's matches (for a different reason, obviously~!). Push Ziggler! |
