![]() I have to object at the shitty QB comment.
Alex Smith played extremely well this year, and he'll get resigned because he deserves to. This is the first year the poor guy has gotten a break and look at what he did. He pretty much won the Saints game himself. My one objection was the fact that they cut Braylon Edwards earlier in the year, leaving Crabtree with only Williams & Ginn Jr. ![]() I know him and the team were being pissy with each other and that Braylon was hurt for a good part of his season, but I can't help thinking if he were playing last night, it might have enabled him or Crabtree to get open at a crucial moment. I'm hoping they'll go after a Number 2 receiver next year and an O-lineman. Adam Snyder (right guard) is a career backup and played above his capabilities. Defense seems to do doing well. ![]() Oh, well...it's all water under the bridge today anyway. |

![]() Go Giants!
![]() As much as I love the team, they were lucky to make the playoffs let alone get into the big game. So the Pats and Giants are the luckiest teams in the league this year. I would not be surprised if a fumble, muffed kick, or missed FG decides this one. ![]()

It took 10 minutes for the judges to notice the trajectory of the ball shifting. Physics is not their strong suit. Quote:
While other teams play their hearts out, striving for excellence, the Giants are content with mediocrity, just doing enough to reach the playoffs. The "Stroke of Luck" is in their playbook. When momentum builds for the opposition, fake an injury. Play like shit. Bring the other team down to your level. It's the American Way. I thought I'd never see the day I looked forward to the ProBowl. What will make this even worse is the inevitable videos of NewYawkas talking about 911 and how the Giants have unified their spirits, blahblahblah.

![]() You know, I can't understand why Williams is getting death threats. C'mon people, it's only a game! Some people should just step away, from all sports, if they're that nuts in doing such childish stuff. Totally pathetic.

![]() Ah, you're just jealous because you had to wait an extra week to watch a real football game.

Yes, I wasn't pleased that he coughed it up twice but considering the Niners performed above and beyond my expectations, I can take solace in that. I was also ashamed to hear how the fans at the stadium treated the Saints fans the previous week. One guy was going on about how he was there with his two young daughters and the fans were calling the girls and their mother whores. ![]() I remember our fans used to be classier than that. ![]() |

![]() Denver is a better example of 'lucking their way in' - losing their last 3 games but benefiting from playing in a division where an 8 - 8 record was good enough to win it. Quote:

![]() I'm hoping one of the safeties will share his favorite BBQ sauce recipe. Has to be more interesting than NE V NY.

![]() doesn't much move the needle for me either, but will still tune in for some of it, all of it if it turns out to be an entertaining game. Does it lack appeal because (a) the teams met in a super bowl 'relatively' recently, or (b) because they already met earlier this year, or (c) you just don't think it's an appealing match up? There's a chance it could be a very entertaining game, in that both these teams should be able to score on the other.
