Unlike Jobs, which he invented the iPod and the iPhone and revolutionized the way we use phones, these days, this guy is using all his power and money to impose a view of the world that's far from being ideal.
What's worse is that even politicians follow his distorted views.

Wouldn't surprise me if one day even the West becomes a totalitarian system, same as that system we saw for many years in Russia, China and Korea, thanks to him and all those politicians who see him as the new Messiah.

When I started this thread, over three years ago, I didn't envision this cult leader jumping on a stage, going "Full Retard", showing his belly and getting this involved in elections. However, even three years ago, I thought he had way too much power as a cult leader, while selling BS lies (autopilot, etc) and that he needed to be stopped. It's becoming increasingly difficult to talk about Electric Jesus, without talking about politics. He needs to STFU and stay in his lane; I'd say the same regarding all celebrities, etc. If at this stage of the game, people don't know which side they should go with and they need a celeb's and/or cult leader's endorsement, there's no hope for these lost people.

I compared Musk to Steve Jobs and I stand by that comparison, of both being cult leaders. However, I do think that comparison is a bit unfair; If my memory serves me correctly, Jobs stayed in his lane (for the most part). Also, Jobs didn't initially buy his way into a company and lie to hype it up. I'm not an Apple/Mac user or fan, but all in all, he sold mostly good products/services, in his era (albeit, vastly overpriced). Even my brother, who was a die-hard Jobs fanboy, hates the direction of Apple/Mac products, since Jobs died, because their products are no longer simple and easy to use, especially for older people.

I'd say the only saving grace is, Musk is not American; Which a lot of people still don't know, just like they don't know he's not a car or rocket engineer, nor is he a neuroscientist/neurobiologist; Just like Twitter, he bought his way into 'his' companies. However, that doesn't stop him from going balls-deep in politics; Because he has access to money, political sway and tech, and politicians want to use him like a cum rag. Simply put, he's an unelected official, without a leash and that's why he's even more dangerous than he was, over three years ago.

Jobs didn't invented things that would "harm" our society in a bad way as Musk is doing.
He never stood up for any politician or imposed his views, but he encouraged students to "Stay hungry, stay foolish", to pursue their dreams and to make them happen.

Besides, he put out products that sold millions of units, were fast and efficient than what MS came up with during the whole Vista fiasco, and he revolutionized the entire phone industry, when HP and BlackBerry still made bulky phones and Windows Phone, well, was slowly dying.
Thanks to him, we later got a variety of Android phones, as well.

Certainly they were overpriced, but they were upgradeable and could get 5-10 years out from a Mac.
Same with iPads and iPhones (I still have an old iPad 2 from 2011 that still charges and works fine, even though I replaced it with a Kindle Fire).

Musk, on the other hand, put out faulty cars, fired and banned LOTS of people from Twitter including celebrities who didn't embraced his vision (Reznor comes to mind), and turned a once friendly platform into his own personal "MySpace", where he only tweets about how much he would like it to get it in the ass from the Orange Man, or how bad and evil Zuckerberg is or how AI is gonna change our lives forever, for the better.

He's a very dangerous person, and it wouldn't surprise me if he provides his technology to Putin, the Iranian or the Afghanistan Taleban regimen.
