I appreciate the femininity of some of these shemales but some, such as the one above, are just skinny blokes in knickers. Not quite the real deal.

Thelypteris - I take your point, but it's strange old genre. As you say, they are all basically blokes in panties, but there are also many sub genres, e.g.
(1) Femboys - no hormones or enhancements, just feminised faces and hair (2) Traps - a bit similar to above, but in clothes very deceptive and ambiguous (3) CDs - similar to above, but usually more obviously male, and with very obvious female clothes ie garter belts, frilly bras etc.. (4) This is where it gets tricky. Transexuals, in a medical sense, wish to belong to the opposite sex, and may include Shemales, generally the European/Latin American term for Ladyboys - who tend to come from Thailand, or the Far East. All of these go for a mixture of hormonal or surgical enhancement - hormones, lip enhancement, breast implants. (5) What draws males to be attracted to porn involving any of the above, is the male organ. Hence the stars for whom this is the main feature, like Long Mint, Mariana Cordoba etc. The irony of this is that many shemales are said not to care about this particular part of their body, and will opt for surgery - like Kimber James - much to the dismay of their male fans.
