No '502 Bad Gateway nginx' for me yet, however our site has been noticeably slower over the last few days (loading the login page, navigating from one thread to another, etc): IT should take a good look at this.

Yeah, it has been slow for me as well.
The Admins, however, are already looking over this issue. Although, if someone is doing DDos attacks on the server that host PS and her sister sites, there is very little that can be done, besides reporting the focker to the authorities, once the Admins and tech support find his location.

It really is a lot slower before login, just to get to the site!

You know I have had a problem for months that I have never said anything about: Pages load, but not fully. I will click on a new post and start reading whatever post I am taken to without realizing that I am not on the post I clicked on. I will be reading and all of a sudden the page will jump down to the newest post.

It seems to have to do with Google analytics? GA is hanging pages constantly, for me at least, and this has been going on for awhile.

Could the problems be related?

Google analytics are a PITA for most websites, but I think this PS slowdown (based on what I have witnessed countless time in the past, may be due to registry issues.

BTW: we already have a thread dedicated to this.

I gave up waiting for the page to load at 20:03 BST (GMT+1): 6 minutes later.

Yet moving away from that page to this one in order to make the post you are now reading was very fast.

IT really should investigate this, since I really don't think that out Planet has in place protocols that violate basic net neutrality concepts.
