^--I agree with most of this except the part about most porn whores commanding 10 Franklins for hooking. That is just a rarity. There are threads on other porn forums about hooker prices are lots of names you'd think are surprisingly cheap.

So many whores = oversupply = reduced supply/demand intersection = lower prices. Kinda like having 2 gas stations on the same corner.

As for the canard that these whores are rich from camming, again you're talking about a select few. Even Jenna Jameson couldn't make a go of it. Someone wrote a story about LiveJasmin being a multi-billion Dollar company because of all the hits it receives. You know why it receives so many hits? Maybe the girlsdoporn gives a good hint about names.
They are almost exclusively new to porn, and the director will be choosing their name most of the time. Someone who doesn't know about porn isn't savvy enough to know the associations with the names. No normal english speaker would think most of those names were real.
GDP was quite interesting, it was said the girls were often initially offered $2000-3000 for the hour set but the makers often lowered the price nearer the date and said they would charge the girls for their flights if they backed out. I'm not surprised, given how much pirating of material there is, I don't know how the makers could justify thousands per video for total unknowns.
Of course I'm supposed to virtue signal and condemn GDP but I'm partly impressed they got away with it so long and even managed to do some nice videos even if they were completely unimaginative.

I agree with what has been said for suitcase pimps and producers choosing a name for some addled drug addicted whore.

But what I don't get is why there are so many performers whose names are impossible to be used to find examples of they work online: generic names such as Joy (three letters), or extremely common names.

If one decides to go into porn, their name is their brand and they should pick (or be advised to pick) a name that is unique to them, and that in a search leads straight to them.

Kaylynn is a good example of a good name choice: perform a search for that name (together with the keyword 'porn') and she will be found in all the results.
