I'm left to wonder if it wasn't just a passing fad now. I'll always love looking at a drop dead gorgeous woman (or two) but the uniqueness of seeing them on film has worn off a tad. It is formulaic and one can nearly tell what's going to happen before it happens now.

Gone are the days of a stunning woman doing a fair amount of solo work, and then graduating to doing girl-on-girl. From there the hype to do full a full on hardcore porn is on, but now it's almost do one hot pin-up shot and they're on the fast track to doing anal. There's no more hype or build up anymore.

Always sucks when it was the reverse though haha. Like Jenna Haze when she slipped into some of those big contracts at the mid point in her career, and only did girl girl again for awhile. But she made up for it doing awesome stuff again after that.

I agree it's different nowadays though. Cassie Laine really is the only girl I've seen in the last several years that only does solo and girls that really wowed me and she pumped out some good quality usually. Though I actually like her solo scenes more.

I mean nobody get me wrong... in the end I'm way more into gonzo and watch too much DP thesedays, so I like my girls more hardcore. But it was nice to see some quality solo hotties again for a second there, but it didn't last at all. And yeah going back to older lesbian porn is still pretty nice.

I can see that. Why not make more of a "personal" connection to their audiences as opposed to generic porn meant for everyone. The fact that a webcam chick is willing to call you out by name is enough for some folks.
