So glad Hernandez was playing for Man United, I couldn't see a win coming after going 2 down. Bit annoyed when he got subbed for Giggs though, who would do that when you're on a hat trick. I didn't see Braga taking Alan off, gee I wonder why.

I really like Champions League, it makes Tuesdays and Wednesdays spicy (with company of friends, a couple of beers, a little betting).
But... Let's not forget one thing. The reason of the Group stage is just for tickets and money for UEFA (see TV rights). The same teams qualify 9 out of 10 times. And we see results like Bate Borisov - Bayern 3-1, Arsenal - Schalke 0-2 or Borussia Dortmund - Real Madrid 2-1 etc. Many more and even more impressive ones the previous years. They didn't amaze me any more (they used to). Until the knock-out stages it's just a SHOW... Enjoy it. |

Ha, City are crap. The group of death has nailed them to the bottom. I do feel somewhat bad for them though, it is a hard group and Man u got a much easier one, it's all luck of the draw tho. Only problem now is they will have more focus on the league.

Ah well. Arsenal fucked up after going 2-0 up. Would have been sweet revenge but just switched off in the second half. probably even deserved to lose.

I thought it was kind of ironic that Real Madrid scored from a free kick and it wasn't Ronaldo. Every single time I've watched Real Ronaldo would take all free kicks and unleash and miss nearly all the time. Pretty overrated as a free kick taker imo. Then comes along Ozil and on his first attempt...a superb technical goal.
For the record, I like Ronaldo (not the person but his game). I also watched the ManC Ajaz game. The refs really murdered City with this one. 2 offside goals that should've counted and a penalty that wasn't given for pulling on Mario's shirt. Overall City are in dire need of a good coach. Mancini is way too defensive minded for City to be succesfull. City has too much firepower that isn't been utilized properly. Watching City play under Mancini is painful. Haven't watched the other matches beside Manc-Ajax and Real-Dortmund so can't say much about them. I enjoyed these 2 matches and not because of Real or City but because of Ajax and Dortmund. The more teams play like them the better this league will become.

It seems Valencia and Malaga are showing Real Madrid and Barcelona how to win games in europe this season, not very often that the big two are outmatched by their fellow spanish teams

So far Matchday 4 is the best for this season. We will see more drama on matchday 5, lot big teams must win to secure their chance to next round. UCL always give high entertainment
