If sites took scenes down there would just be an underground trade in them and they would actually become more popular. Just like those 'great lost albums' or 'video nasties in the 80s.
If you don't want to see it, which I can kind of understand, then don't download it.

If a pornstars dies and there movies are taken down, then we wouldn't have the Vintage Erotic Forum. It's good to honour pornstars that are taken away from life.

How exactly do you disrespect a person by promoting her/his work even after death? What's the reasoning behind it? Should discussion on war heroes be taboo for period of time after their death?

There are certain issues that one may want to consider: mainly that perfomers in porn work to contracts that restrict their fee to a single payment. They do not receive any residuals or sales percentages.
This means that when they walk off set from a shoot with that cheque, that is the last money they will see in respect of that performance. The scene they have just shot can be used by the producers in any way they see fit, and included in several compilations and anthologies without any further payments. So after death, the families of deceased pornstars receive nothing, even though many thousand DVDs may have been sold, or the stars work being featured in paysites or pay per view. So let's be clear that we are doing the deceased no favours by buying their DVDs: the only persons benefitting from that are the producers, the distribuitors and ultimately the end user for receiving the product they want. I still though believe no restictions should be issued when a performer passes away, if anything, it is a way to remember and appreciate their talents.
