Last Man 2.45 Beta and Public Update

Today we have an update of the club and public versions of the game, and a lot of interesting things. Some locations from early access are available to everyone now.

Also I want to introduce a new mechanism – new game +. After you help Lina to open the Pink Rhino Club in the North City, it will begin to pay dividends to you. And they will gradually grow. Dividends are tied to your gaming account, and do not depend on savegames. For example, you have passed most of the game now, the quest to receive your share will always appear in the North City (blue exclamation mark). Business in the Pink Rhino go well, and your share has already grown. Now you decide to start the game from the beginning, or just from an earlier save. The progress of the Pink Rhino will not be reset, as soon as you reach it on the plot, it will start working from the same place where you finished, and your share will continue to grow.

This mechanic will not be launched simultaneously for everyone, but will appear in waves for groups of players to test its work. It does not depend on whether you play the public version or are subscribed to early access. I expect that the quest will appear in a week to everyone, or a little more if it will need further work. Next, it will appear every few days in real time.

There was added more sounds for various events.

The website and the game servers have moved to a more secure connection with SSL. All obsolete links have been removed from the game.

Last Man 2.46 Beta

Today we have a build with changes of the game mechanic. Let’s start with the novelties. Starting from this build, the quests in the game will be divided into main and secondary. The main quests will move the plot forward and discover new opportunities for the hero. All minor quests will be untied from the storyline and can be performed at any time. Also now, all game factions will be able to give you small quests for which you can receive money, items or any other bonuses.

In this build a new series of quests is added. You can start it by finding the object on the location with the Hut in the second city. After that, from time to time, you will find the continuation of the quests in any of the three cities. The location with the girls with camera on the way to the Warehouse is no longer a random event, but moved to this story series.

Also the hero’s tab has been updated. In it you will find a list of factions that you have already met in the game. And with the following builds you will be able to track your progress with them.

The requirements for various events continue to be simplified. This time it touched the flashbacks with Kate, the girlfriend of our hero. They are no longer limited in time, and you can see them all during the game.

Changed the spent of the action points when you visiting certain locations. Basically, it touched locations, where more than one point was spent, and changed to the minimum. But if you will come to the warehouse in the second city you should remember, that it will now become more difficult. The first trip per day will spend 2 points, same as before, and every next visite will be harder each time. You can reset your fatigue after sleep.

Canned food and Burn can be used any day now. Let me remind you that you should keep at least a little food, in case the hero gets hungry. Otherwise, he will spend more action points in exploring the city and quests.

Last Man 2.48 Beta and Public Update

In this update you will find a new scene with Agatha, our hero’s neighbor. You can meet her on the beach in the first city, if you have already completed past events with her. She will tell us a sad story from her life and also she will tell us a little about the first days after the start of the epidemic.

The game translations into German, Spanish, Italian, Korean, Dutch, and Polish were also updated. Thanks to those who help me with this hard work, you are the best! Font files have also been updated to better support various rare characters from different languages.

Added new notes at the start of the game. The first is about 100% Passage. Using it, remember that the story develops non-linearly, and may differ, from what is described in the example. Events may occur in a different order, sooner or later. The second is about the new system New Game +. The number of game days, development of the hero’s Base and the Pink Rhino Club, reputation with game fractions and much more is tied to your account, and will not be reset even if you start the game from the beginning. The game UI has been slightly updated. Removed some obsolete code. Improved server connection for the Asian region. If you have any problems with the connection please let me know.

Last Man 2.49

In this update you will find a continuation of the last event with Agatha, our hero’s neighbor. It will launch a new chain of quests for the relations development with this girl, of course, if you want this. You can find it in the morning after spending the night in the first city.

In addition, many technical improvements have been made. For example, many locations began to load much faster. The same applies to the game’s Album, it now works much better. The texture unloading mechanism has been slightly modified. If you encounter problems in the work of locations or memory overflow, fill out the form in the bug tracker.

Great technical updates received the hero’s Base. Minor bugs were fixed, the mechanism for receiving rewards after missions was updated. Added support for third-party quests. This will provide an opportunity to develop the Base by questing in any of the cities.

Fixed some bugs in the mechanics of the game, for example, in the Poker Tournament, and wrong costs of action points in some locations. Minor UI game changes made.

The server part of the game has also been significantly updated, but the old versions of the game will still work for a while, in case you do not have the opportunity to update it.

Changed support for various versions for Android in connection with the completion of their support from Google. This will affect phones and tablets released in 2012 or earlier.

Last Man 2.50
In this update you will find two small scenes with Agatha. She starts them herself, sending you SMS, if you have not ignored her in past events. The event works only in the first city, so you don’t have to go far.

In addition, some events are now tied to your account, not to savegames. This is a new mechanic “New Game +”, which will save the progress level of some elements of the game, if you loaded from an earlier save, or even started the game again. This was previously written in my Author’s column.

So now the hero’s Base is also tied to the account. In short, I remind you that it is. This is a mini game where gathered some of the girls you have met. You can send them to the missions for exploring cities, getting supplies, or even attacking other militant groups (in this case, the Bases of other players). After completing missions, girls bring rewards such as money, supplies, upgrades for themselves and for the hero, etc. With the mechanics of New Game +, if you have already seriously leveled the girls, but decided to start the game from the begining, then you will get the Base with all your progress as soon as you reach it again in the story. You will not need to upgrade it from scratch. (But starting with this build, the old Base progress, which was stored locally on the computer, will not be taken into account). I also plan to conduct “seasons” – players who have leveled the Base more than others for a certain time will receive additional in-game bonuses and rewards.

In addition to the Base, the reputation progress with the Preacher and PromZone factions is now tied to the account. In Preacher events, you can now leave only one item at a time. Every time your reputation will grow. In the casino of PromZone, you will receive a reputation only if you win a girl when she has no more money left. This applies to regular games, not the Poker Tournament. The greater your reputation, the more likely they will give you more secondary quests and more attractive rewards.

Also added support for one-time quests. Such tasks you will need to perform only once in your account, and the reward for them will remain available to your hero forever, regardless of the saves used.

Of the important corrections was the fix of action points in the Warehouse, after meeting with Alina. And a little bit of other minor bugs.

Last Man 2.52

Another unscheduled update. Over the past few days, online in the game has greatly increased, and even the addition of another server hardware did not save the situation.

This build updates the network code and uses the new version of the game server. The game will no longer logout during loading locations, and some locations will begin to load much faster. This will especially affect players from the Asian region. The code of the Album of the game has been completely rewritten, now it shows opened girls almost instantly.

The old version of the game and the server will remain active for some time, but if you are faced with errors when loading locations, then you better upgrade. Please let me know if you come across disconnects again.

Last Man 2.53 and Public Update

In this build you will find the continuation of the storyline with Agatha. If you did not give up after past unsuccessful attempts to put her in order, then this time will be your last chance. To start the event, you need to send her a flowers from the Store as a gift, and wait for her reaction.

Store was also updated. Its code was completely rewritten, and the location itself was divided into stages. Now, when you come there for the first time, the hero will find it in a plundered state. But returning later, you will find out that the New Post has already put it in order. So then the opportunity to make gifts for girls will appear. The gifts have also changed – now they are cheaper, and at the same time they bring more love points. This will help to those. who always have no money. Also the event of acquaintance with Natasha, head of the New Post was updated.

Also Nastya, our pretty neighbor from the first chapter of the game, got a new acquaintance scene too. Added new images and slightly changed the dialogue. She does not give new experience points, so you don’t need to replay from scratch. But you can see the scene, if you just load from the first day of the game and wait for her ring at the door.

The server part of the game moved to the same version as the Red Pill. Locations loading became almost instantaneous, and the stability of the game increased during a high load on the server.

Updated menu of the gamesaves. Some critical bugs with game crash in the first day and in the Preacher’s events were fixed. Minor UI game changes made.

Last Man 2.54

In the new build we have a lot of interesting and useful updates. First, this is the end of Agatha’s quest line. Those who have coped with all her quirks will be able to go through a large and beautiful scene, and find out how it will all end. The event will begin our hero himself, while traveling around the city. He will offer to call Agatha, but since the telephone contacts are now in reconstruction state, you can immediately go to the event.

In addition to Agatha, one of the old scenes on the beach, with two pretty girls, received an update. Its code has been completely rewritten, the action order has been updated and the scene load has been accelerated.

Thanks to the renewal of old scenes, it became possible to skip sex scenes, for those who play not the first time. Gradually, all such scenes will receive an additional button that takes you to the end of the event. But it will only work if you have previously seen this event. (I repeat once again that for now this does not affect all the scenes, but their list will increase little by little.)

Another novelty is the Quests List. A new mechanism was added several builds back, and now it will fill it with each build. In this update quests from the first and second chapters, as well as the quest with Agatha were added to List. Some quests received an updated code to display correctly in the List.

You can call up a Quests List by entering the character window, or by pressing the Q button on the keyboard. The List will be quite detailed, and will be able to show all the quests you have collected earlier, at what stage you stopped, what to do next and how many steps are left until the end of the task. When I add support for all the quests, they will automatically appear in your list, and you can find out what you missed.

Translations into Italian, Korean, Dutch and Polish have been updated. Thanks to everyone who helps in this not easy task.

Also, corrections were made to the action buttons on the 7th day, the game UI was slightly updated, and rare crashes were fixed.

Last Man 2.55

In the new build there are many UI changes that will help make the game more convenient and introduce new features.

The code of all the game menus has been updated: pause, character, club, album, etc. All windows now can be open and close with hot-keys, as well, all windows can be closed with the Esc button. Some menus (for example, Album), which previously could only be open in a specific place, are now available at any point in the game. Also, the buttons for opening all the necessary menus moved to the Character window.

There is a new menu – Achievements. For performing various actions in the game, you will receive Achievements. And these are not just useless badges, but bonuses that will complement your gameplay. For example, income from Pink Rhino will be doubled, food will restore more action points, or even add more playable days, etc.

Yes, this is another feature in this build. Playable days, as before, will be added by me gradually, along with the release of new content, but now they will not be severely limited. You will be able to receive new additional playable days for completing achievements, quests, various events and so on.

All received achievements, unlocked bonuses, days, etc., will be tied to your account, and will continue to work even if you start the game from the beginning, and some will give their advantages even in my other games.

In this build, not all the achievements are active yet, and their list will increase significantly in the next builds, but some players will notice new playable days in the game now.

In the sex scenes appeared Skip button. It will be active if you have previously seen this scene. At the moment, not all scenes can be skipped, as I manually double-check them to eliminate problems.

The Quests List was replenished with a new portion of tasks from the first chapters of the game, and also received some corrections in past quests.

The saving system has been slightly updated. Saves no longer occur during casino games, Poker Tournament, or when exploring the city. This will simplify the game a little while I’m working on new quests for players to earn money.

City maps and notes have been updated. Their text no longer overlaps each other.

Made some changes to old scenes, for example, in a dating website at the beginning of the game, or some scenes with Diana. Basically it affected the convenience of the players.

Last Man 2.56

In this build we will have meeting, about which many have asked during long time. Sweet secretary Olga, from the former work of our hero, she is back to the city. A new quest begins with a meeting with her during one of the games in the PromZone casino. You have to find out if it was a fortuity, what she is doing now after the epidemic, and what all this promises to our hero if he will continue to communicate with her.

To start the quest, you must have completed the past task with her, where you come to her to the country house. And also you should passed at least half of the Poker Tournament. Olga will meet you in the hall for regular games.

I also continue to improve other elements of the game. So, some new Achievements were activated, and for some of them you can even get bonuses. For example, you can permanently increase the number of game days for the story progress and the collection of secrets of the game.

New portion of tasks added to the Quests List. And some past missions received clarifications and more detailed tips. More sex scenes can be skipped now, if you have previously seen them.

Phone contacts with girls are now available at any time of the game in the hero menu or by pressing the G button. I also plan to expand the possibilities of communicating with girls in addition to scenes with them, and add small tasks that will help you to increase Love Points.

Poker Tournament has become easier. The rivals are now much less likely to get the top combinations of cards, and the average level of girls’ cards was reduced. Cash prizes remained at the past level.

A save check point was added to 21st day of the game, before escaping to the second city. Were updated some of the dialogues and quest marks on the maps in order to better connect the plot of the game.

Compatibility with very old game saves has been improved for those who returning after a long break. A small optimization has been done and obsolete textures have been removed.
