I don't know about the rest of England, but here in London most supermarkets carry a good range of Italian and French cheeses, but in any case I live a short walk away from Borough Market and I can get loads of great food there.

We have Central Market here with a Cheese section that carries about 2000 kinds of fresh cheeses from all over the world. I've been going to Central Market for iver 10 years now and I have tried easily 200 cheeses, some great, some not to my liking, and I have yet began to scratch the surface on their selection. They are also always adding new items.

Do you mean the HEB operated Central Market and Marketplace stores in Texas? They are awesome. And the prices on regular stuff aren't jacket up thad bad, though I think Fiesta is a better overall bargain.

And Velveeta really does make the best chile con queso. But I usually fry jalapenos and garlic in butter and then make a cornstarch and milk roux before melting the Velveeta. The final touch after adding the Ro-Tel and picante sauce is to melt in a little crema cheese or queso fresco. Blows people away.
