I am also a member on [shock!] another message board. That board has this little button at the bottom of the page. A mouse click on that button, boom, sends you to the top of the page where you can click on your subscribed threads, messages or another page in the same thread.

That would, as the thread states, would be something I would add.

Our old girl Suzy is quite antiquated so adding these types of inconsequential improvements at this point are probably not worth the headaches they would inevitably cause to the powers that be.

Add 1fichier and Depositfiles to the list of required hosts and ensure that all HD, FHD and 4K posts contain at least one link from one of these hosts.

Right now if you look at the vast majority of posts they go to three hosts, FJ, K2S and FB.
Those are the cashwhore hosts. They pay a few shekels for clicks to uploaders but they aren't accessible to all regions which puts many members at a disadvantage. Free access speed is erratic and strangled to all hell. Downloading any file of size can take a full day. Those links often break and one is forced to wait and start again. However. If you look at posts with multiple links first and foremost they contain these three hosts and that is duplicated over and over again in posts of the same file throughout.
Why is simple. The first one out of the gate posting links to two or three of those hosts gets all the clicks because no one else can post the same file to the same host. When alternatives are offered it's usually to something like filefox. Try DLing a 2gb file from that. On a standard connection you'll be there all week.
It's a file host arms race and the general membership are losing out.

Go to the alternative upload host threads and you'll see increasingly people are requesting uploads to an accessible alternative. Usually 1fichier. But I have found Deposit and clicknupload to be a reasonably fast and very reliable alternative and others seem to share this experience.
However, those request threads have disadvantages. For a start members must rely on a few with access to fulfill requests. There are huge limits. You can basically ask once a week. The links are now almost universally hidden (a practice I don't understand. And don't tell me you don't find it frustrating to jump through the hoop only to find the link is dead). Also, genuinely the atmosphere can be draconian and hostile. Some are using those threads not to help others but to inflate themselves and wield power over others. Something else I don't understand on a forum.

Cashwhore posting is a forum fact of life but if people are going to post multiple links making at least one of those links a universally accessible reasonably fast host should be a no brainer. Look at which of those hosts are most popular, limit a poster to two of the three cashwhore hosts and make one of those accessible host links required in multiple link posting.
The cashwhores will still make their lucre but others will get their chance too and members will have accessible alternatives. At least do it in PATM. The General section and all its subsections is the wild west and everyone seems to be happy with that.

The sheer weight of requests in these host threads should tell management there's a problem to be dealt with that has a simple solution.

We should definitely consider adding MEGA to the list, as well.
One can upload single 5-10 GBs files, there, and people can still download them at full speed.
Also Google Drive should be considered as an alternative.
Plenty of other forums use Google Drive and One Cloud to upload files, these days.

That might be the rule but it sure as hell isn't being enforced in any meaningful way. The problem with your rule as it stands is the "required" list contains two cashwhore hosts with all the problems they entail. People are complying with this rule by using them and the other two hosts are being ignored but they are the hosts that solve the problem.
You write "Having only two required hosts would put too much of a limit on posting." but effectively there are already only two hosts on this list because those are the two people are using to the exclusion of the other two. The system hasn't collapsed.

Prior to posting and just before I wrote this over the last week I chose a PATM page at random - it happened to be LuluChu's HD thread because it was the first on the list when I opened the section, and I searched out each of the titles on the last two pages.
I found dozens of posts of each title but almost none of them contained links for DF or 1f. Of all the posts of all the titles I think I found one of each. That's two posts out of more than a hundred searched.
Test it for yourself and see. All the posts contain links for K2s, FB or Fj almost exclusively.

Now I'm not suggesting that file hosts should be banned at all. I happen to think the more options available the better. but if you search a title - let's say the latest one "Up Close with Lulu Chu" - and you get 20 results and all of them exclusively contain one or more of K2S, FJ or FB and NOTHING ELSE, then that rule is meaningless and members looking for options are out of luck.

They must go to a request thread where they are limited to one ask a week and are at the mercy of the whims and caprices of whatever members have access. Some of them are downright unpleasant too which makes none of this fun.

To double check my results I spotted the latest posts in the Cory Chase HD thread contained 1f links for the last two parts of her latest series with Gigi Dior. I searched the whole series and found no post at all offering alternative links for the preceding parts. All were K2s, FB and FJ.

Look at the request thread. The vast majority of requests are for these alternatives to FJ and FB, the two preferred hosts on this list.
you don't need to ban them as approved hosts. Just remove them from the compulsory list and replace them with two or more hosts that help solve the problem. I would suggest MegaNZ, Pixeldrain, and Clicknupload all three of which are reliable, proven, dependable, lightning fast, and have very reasonable free daily limits and paid options. You also don't need accounts to use them which is a bonus, though MegaNZ is a bit fiddly because of their in browser file limit (it doesn't work the way other hosts do). You get around it by installing their App which handles the larger DL. You need an email to validate it but I used a temp email service and it worked perfectly. Or people can just split the huge files into manageable chunks a la the much missed Zippyshare.

As it stands however, cashwhore hosts on the required list fails everyone utterly.

I'd be wary of googledrive if the option means you have to sign in with a google account. It makes everything trackable and leaves a log of your actions on their server.
That's a very very bad idea for all sorts of reasons considering the majority of the material on this forum. Please let's not lose sight of the fact that apart from all other considerations almost everything on here breaches copyright. is that really something you want logged and stored?

IMO the forums that use this option are being lazy and haven't thought things through.

Actually you can download from Google Drive without being logged in, and JDownloader doesn't even require any login info, as It does automatically get cookies for you.

Forums that allow GDrive don't use filenames that might get under the radar of DMCA.
I personally uploaded Movies for friends, there, with full titles, and they're still all there.
Same for all the Music files I downloaded over the years.

We'll probably think of something, at some point, to solve this issue and allow more Hosts, don't worry.

That's interesting.
I've been sent googledrive links in the past that have demanded a full login to my account. I won't touch that with a 20ft battle lance. if there is a way around it and using programs like JDL can be brought to bear, then it would surely make a useful addition to the armoury, though I'd fully recommend a step guide for both host usage and software integration.
Speaking personally i could never get JDL to work and finally abandoned it some time ago as unfathomable.

I'm not particularly worried. The premise of the thread interested me and this is something I noticed about the forum that I thought would make an interesting food for thought topic of discussion.

I do think the system as it stands is more than a little skewed however and this should be addressed sooner rather than later.

BooBootheBear, I do understand your frustration with those Cashwhore files but it's good to realize that the only reason there is new content being posted, is primarily because it's posted solely out of greed by the Cashwhores. Remember these "members" don't give a damn about you. me, this forum or porn in general, they post new stuff because it feeds their village. If you remove the Cashwhore files, the Cashwhores will just stop posting here.
As for 1fichier etc: I myself,back in the day, would only post to Megarotic (defunct), Megaupload (defunct), Zippyshare (defunct) and then to 1fichier (which now deletes the post after 1 month for non paying members) and finally to Depositfiles (not because it's the best, but because the files tend to stay active for non paying folks like myself).
The best thing forum members like ourselves can do is, once you've spent all day dl'ed the Cashwhores' content, repost to non-cashwhore links. Unfortunately as most members are Takers and not Givers, this is not commonplace as not too many people do this.
