Night One was really solid, the tag gauntlet thing was a mess but that's expected and you got pretty much every result that you wanted outside of Lashley winning(in theory). Shane got destroyed, Cesaro wins a classic, Miz loses and Bad Bunny looked like a wrestler and lastly Bianca won an absolute banger of a main event. Still suspect of the big dude with AJ, but he can wreck in short spurts which can work for now.
Night Two had all the dumb stuff, big time. They open with the Orton-Fiend match, Saxton apparently can't recognize a box(or why there were bunnies the night before), Fiend Bray is cruising as usual until Shiny Alexa distracts and one RKO gets the win. Post match they just fuck off to wait until Raw to tell us that they're apart but not much more. Then there's the women's tag where Nia and Shana are still a team(and champions) despite like 3 months of teasing a breakup. We have a Nigerian Drum match and they never used any of the drums in a spot in effect making it a no holds barred with a fancy name, which then was pretty short PLUS a smoz finish. It does establish heel Apollo, but low marks on the execution from me. KO wins AND stupid Youtube guy ate a stunner also Riddle got destroyed so some good(for me) stuff happened too. Asuka-Rhea was good, I'm torn on it solely because I feel like both deserved a Mania win. Rhea REALLY should have won last year and Asuka hasn't gotten anything like what she should have while on the RAW/SD rosters in terms of how her title runs have gone. Lastly, the triple threat was a triple threat with a sorta dumb yet expected finish(given Roman wins). The usage of Jey goes against the whole 'make Roman look strong' thing for me and I feel like they've spent a LOT of tv time this year on Bryan and Edge for neither of them to win the title, Bryan also was the big story going into the Rumble which he didn't win. Circling back to Lashley leaving as champion. Combine that with how we got to Mania AND the follow-up on Raw begs the question of why was there ever that stupid Miz title reign? Lashley being triumphant at Mania in gaining the gold would have been a great story for him, despite him being the heel. With hindsight probably shouldn't have opened with that match as it kinda dulled the crowd. New Charlotte is just like new Roman, finally accepting the boos that they get. It's a character change that should end up working well even if I'm personally not thrilled at her literally dropping back in the title picture yet again on the road to title #16 /17. |

Anyone else catch Wale lip-syncing? I could be wrong but I heard some lyrics with the mic by his side. He looked a bit awkward when interacting with Big E as if he didn't wanna lose his timing but did.

I also have to express disappointment for Kane. I was expecting more than Corporate Kane showing up and doing the arm thing. An in-ring segment with Undertaker or something more than standing there. I know Undertaker would have stolen some spotlight but it wouldn't have been that bad and could have been a great moment. One more thing, what are the chances Khali was a replacement for Big Show. Vince got secretly pissed, who's bigger than Show, Khali. Let's put him in. |

WWE doing spring cleaning and half the names they dropped the ball. No more than releasing Samoa Jo.
The guy was on frigging commentary in the rain on wrestlemania weekend. Budget cuts my ass when they signed a huge deal with peacock |

WWE releasing the Iiconics shocks and infuriates me.

I wonder with Samoa Joe if they will resign him as a commentator at a much lower salary. Feel bad for Royce since she seemed to have talent, maybe Kay although they used her pretty much for comedy. Green never really got a chance but WWE have always shown not to have patience with anyone who gets injured often. The others were pretty much minor wrestlers, good for putting over other talent but they have others who can do that and probably on cheaper contracts.

I would express about the releases but seriously who gives a flying rat fuck, none of us can do anything about it, but Samoa had me More talent for Impact and AEW. Kind of sad that they'll look even more like WWE lite though. Releasing WWE talent to those two companies, they know that WWE stigma won't leave no matter how different the characters are. They know they're the behemoth and there's every chance the talent will want to be back there someday if they are anything like McIntyre. There's every chance they'll be more over so they reap that benefit of the talents new found popularity and they didn't have to do shit to achieve that. WWE know what they are doing when it comes to shit like this. Just having Jericho on their Network was a double win. Extra subs and an AEW guy on one of their shows makes them look superior. I managed to not fall asleep listening to them drone on and on and I don't think they dropped a Dynamite mention. It was fucking long though so I could have forgotten it. |
