I'm happy that he became WWE Champion again. He's been a great heel for the better part of the duration of the current brand split. I'm surprised he didn't win the WWE title sooner.
I thought he should've had it in 2018, especially considering Bryan returned to action that year. That would have been poetic. Miz wins the title from Styles and ends up losing it to Bryan.

Thoughts on Chamber: That was boring and I only watched the main card Chamber matches and the matches that followed after each one.

The logic in having Reigns go out immediately after Bryan won. Who booked that there? Most interesting thing was Cesaro doing pull ups on the Chamber and that arm stuck in the door spot. Rest was the usual hoopla shit I've seen done better. Miz is a joke so now so is the belt. I've heard enough to know what Miz has been doing and he's been made to look a plonker. So of course give belts to the plonkers, Ridd(of)le and Miz(take). Chamber matches should be barbaric matches and my conclusion is this Chamber shit still exists to sell toy sets. They've sold out their gimmick matches for more money and made them boring in terms of the violence. I feel like a sucker for having had hope they'd be any good. |

I heard it was USA Network's call, to promote their new season, as Miz stars in two of their shows.

I would have been surprised if Roman hadn't come out immediately. It was somewhat implied in how his side worded things and completely fits in the narrative of him doing what's best for him, not WWE or anyone else.
As for Miz, again, after the Lashley beatdown I was calling for it to happen; else Miz is the biggest idiot in the history of the briefcase and his prior actions with it this time around could out him there anyways, but that's another thing. After the cash-in, I was half expecting him to get distracted by Bad Bunny but that didn't happen so...it's dumb but he's had the case for months so if you weren't prepared for him possibly winning it's your fault. My bigger concern/fear is that since Miz is a chickenshit heel, a very good one at that, and he could easily get strung out to at least Fastlane in what's maybe the first ever case of it being good there's still 2 PPVs between Rumble and Mania. And since it's WWE, I can't rule out this going all the way to some sort of multi-man stupidity at Mania itself. Bottom line for me is I think this is some stupid break in Drew's title run so he can get it back in front of fans at Mania. At least, I HOPE it is, since basically every other reason for doing things this way is dumb. |

Miz is not a must see champion, end of. I heard a podcast where they said it doesn't even matter who the champion is these days and they're right, at least for WWE. They've got their guaranteed money. But it does matter to an audience on the fence. The only relevant thing Miz has done in years is that shouting promo on Talking Smack. Otherwise he's a mid-card 50/50 booked motor mouth that happened to somehow impress a model who clearly didn't have high standards.
WWE is such a nothing product, I seriously can't buy into match quality matches anymore. All I'm seeing on my PPV jump ins is how unrealistic it all looks when you break it down into the spots, recovery rate, impact of moves, movement etc. I need spectacle, match logic with solid storytelling, characters to enjoy, some good old fashioned violence and those moments that they can create. Shit, most memorable moment recently from Raw is Reigns flying off on that stretcher and that ambulance topple with Braun and that was ages ago. Now what's Braun doing, whining to Shane. No doubt they'll have a match at Mania and somehow Super Shane will bury him with his miraculous unlimited stamina and recovery ability. Isn't that what a good guy does but oh wait he's the bad guy? Oh whatever. |

Good News! Our long, national nightmare is over and Miz is no longer the WWE champion. Honestly, until the end of show match was made a lumberjack match I still thought they would have Miz weasel his way out yet again.
Now of course, the double fakeout and stupid clocks were pretty blatant attempts to say 'please don't leave'. The bigger problem is that it might have worked and so I fear they try this again sometime in the future. |

Seriously, I'm biased because I love them, but I feel each one always had potential and just weren't treated the right way. Also I must be the only one who was happy for the Miz, the guy works his ass off, loves the business, cuts excellent promos and has great character work. I feel he deserved that championship reign, as short as it was. |

Peyton Royce cut a great promo on Raw Talk. I've seen some compare it to Miz's Talking Smack moment from 2016, but I think it's more like Cesaro's Talking Smack moment from a few weeks ago.
You hook them in with something people want to hear ("Why does it always have to be the same old"... May as well have just namedropped Charlotte), but you have to nail it from there and I think she did. Great stuff. Peyton's really good. Given how depleted the Raw Women's Division is, there's no fucking reason for Peyton to be stuck on Main Event while the likes of Lana, Nia, Dana, and Mandy Rose (all of whom Peyton is better than) are getting time on Raw. In a perfect world, this would lead to Peyton challenging the Nepotism Beneficiary, beating her, and going on to face and defeat Asuka at WrestleMania for the title. In WWE land, it'll end up with Peyton facing the Nepotism Beneficiary and losing in a "competitive" match. It won't be that competitive. It'll be booked that way, but Charlotte can't work that kind of match. Charlotte will just walk through any of Peyton's offense because Charlotte is a bitch that won't sell for women she doesn't see as being on her level. Then, Charlotte will go onto WrestleMania and have Asuka sacrificed at her altar again. It'll be such good shit...
