If you were admin what would you change, add, or remove in planetsuzy?

If I were an Admin: I would make it a requirement when posting to state which file host(s) is/are being used.
This would enable potential downloaders to search for their preferred filehosts.
I've been doing this for years in my own posts, for example:

Video
File: MP4
Size: 1.11 GB
Duration: 00:53:37
Resolution: 1920 x 1980 (16:9)
Download or Watch: 1 File ( Depositfiles or 1fichier )

This would seem like a simple and easy adjustment to make for Planetsuzy

I would think hovering over the link would satisfy that need... that's what I do before choosing a link anyway.

(Also, I should note that for "hidden" links - where one is required to "thank" the poster before seeing the link - disclosing the host name ahead of time is required.)

I would make it so that if some cock-sucking gutless-punk jerk-off prick rat-bastard cock-sucker downloads your post (a vid post), re-loads it and immediately re-posts it, gets some kinda punishment. If you BAN that cock-sucking gutless-punk jerk-off prick rat-bastard cock-sucker for that heinous crime, it should stick.



I know ... that sounds kinda hypocritical coming from me and My "banned" history ... But this is a much different situation.

The filehost isn't searchable, though, unless it's specified in the text. When it's only buried in the URL (especially when the UrL is cropped or made into a text link) it can only be seen by hovering or looking at t.

For me, trying to find the unicorn links (by that I mean posts that use hosts OTHER than k2s, filejoker, fileboom, and filefox) is quite time consuming, because at least in PATM pictures is seems that the only 2 hosts used are k2s and fj with the occasional filefox and fileboom link. Its crazy to me to wish for the days when everyone used rapidgator as a secondary link.

Of course, declaring the hosts doesn't work when after 2 days all but the filechoker links are dead.

Thank you You get it (No offense to Lonewolf...hovering over links doesn't work in the search function) Making it searchable is my entire point! Do a search for Depositfiles for example and Me, Kogi and chinkchonk and a few others pop up straight away.

If I were an admin:

Given the ever ballooning size of files I would mandate that for any video over a given size (I would say 3 GB) posters would have to do at least 1 of the following:

1) have to provide a link to a fast download site like 1fichier or clicknupload,

2) before posting convert the file to a more compact format like hevc or av1,

3) separate the file into chunks no greater than 1 GB

My personal preferences are 1 or 2, heck combine them and save everybody time and bandwidth.

3 doesn't really address the issue of size of files, but at least we wouldn't have to tie up our computers for hours or days downloading a file that fails 8 or 9 Gigs in.

You could just stop downloading 4k files if you care that much about file size.

I'll ignore the ad hominem comment, and merely point out that I am only suggesting, what you are doing in actuality. I know, because I have thanked you many times, for the sterling work you do in the download request thread.

Someone makes a request for a file, generally because of its size and/or slow filehost, and you, out of a generosity of spirit, are providing it in a faster one. How is that different from what I am proposing?

Given the fact that the request thread has really only been operating for about 2 years, and is already approaching the 20000 post mark, shows there is, if not a need, then a desire for something different.

I don't download 4k files, but the size of some 1080 clips is getting ridiculous and sometimes a 720p version isn't posted so that's not an option either. Unfortunately, some users insist on hosting those large files on a single link with a crappy host like filejoker. At the very least, larger files should require a second download option.
