Perhaps they could ran an angle at the start of EmptyMania that jobbers in pirate costumes, led by Burchill, have forced all the fans into a local warehouse to watch EmptyMania and will only release them if they approve of the show once it's over... Burchill and Katie being the only two spectators. Now I'm just being stupid lol.

EmptyMania will be at the Performance Center. I guess they will have the 'who the heck is that' talent, writers, crew and the janitor who lives there as the crowd because otherwise it'll be pretty awful viewing.

The Austin beer flop was the only thing worth seeing on Raw because it was so randomly genuinely funny.

Hopefully they cut out the flab of Mania and just put on the big matches. Showing old Mania matches would be pointless. They could have it done in about two hours. I guess though they're likely to still fill it with flab because of some 'amount of time watched' metric bs.

Yeah, I thought they should just pause everything for a couple months, cancel Summer Slam, and have Wrestlemania when & where Summer Slam would be.

Crazy to keep doing empty venue matches... half the fun is an audience reaction. Remember "suspension of disbelief"? Who's disbelief are they going to suspend in an empty house?

Crowd reactions feel as choreographed as the matches half the time. You could have a green screen of a crowd and insert typical crowd reaction audio samples during spots and what not and the drowsy/wasted/drunks that are watching ain't gonna notice.

I suppose it depends upon one's point of view. I don't (and won't) watch WWE empty arena matches, for many reasons, including the one I stated above. I'm old-school, which means I enjoyed the old Georgia Championship Wrestling and Mid-Southern shows; even when they had 40 or 50 people in the studio, the reactions helped tell the various stories, thus kept me interested.

You are correct... VKM assembles everything, including reactions, because he's pushing his own agenda, using wrestlers and storylines, along with "canned" reactions, to drive marketing, where the money is. Whereas 70's and 80's bookers "married" the wrestlers, gave them wins and losses, and threw the occasional curveball, but allowed the audience to help shape the blow off, and sometimes even the next storyline(s).

Two words explains it: Roman Reigns. Fans hate him (for the most) part, and even his cousin, The Rock, couldn't give him a rub to get him over, but VKM has always seen nothing but dollar signs in him, so he'll be a face forever, so VKM can market the shit out of him. They could've made him a heel for a year or so, then turned him, bringing the audience along, and make the same money that way, but this is VKM and his old, outdated way of thinking about the business.
