Hundreds of thousands have already died if you count the disaster of 100k + dead of CV in Iran and the subsequent coverup...the mass graves can be seen from satellite...Smackdown from the performance center w/ no crowd?? Shit really IS on fire, yo

It's sad when ya got people fighting over bog paper, just grab newspapers, they're probably cheaper anyway.
If this was 2002 Vince would do a spoof on that. Perhaps they could ran an angle at the start of EmptyMania that jobbers in pirate costumes, led by Burchill, have forced all the fans into a local warehouse to watch EmptyMania and will only release them if they approve of the show once it's over... Burchill and Katie being the only two spectators. Now I'm just being stupid lol. |

So Wrestlemania is going to be held in an empty building? That's going to be weird to say the least. Wrestling without the fans is just not the same.

EmptyMania will be at the Performance Center. I guess they will have the 'who the heck is that' talent, writers, crew and the janitor who lives there as the crowd because otherwise it'll be pretty awful viewing.

Yeah it's going to be crazy to see a WM in the PC and the vibe will be so off throughout to the point like I feel fuck this and watch something else.

The Austin beer flop was the only thing worth seeing on Raw because it was so randomly genuinely funny.
Hopefully they cut out the flab of Mania and just put on the big matches. Showing old Mania matches would be pointless. They could have it done in about two hours. I guess though they're likely to still fill it with flab because of some 'amount of time watched' metric bs. |

Part 1 of a great documentary about one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.
A shame that WWE does not even acknowledge his existence.

Crazy to keep doing empty venue matches... half the fun is an audience reaction. Remember "suspension of disbelief"? Who's disbelief are they going to suspend in an empty house? |

Crowd reactions feel as choreographed as the matches half the time. You could have a green screen of a crowd and insert typical crowd reaction audio samples during spots and what not and the drowsy/wasted/drunks that are watching ain't gonna notice.

You are correct... VKM assembles everything, including reactions, because he's pushing his own agenda, using wrestlers and storylines, along with "canned" reactions, to drive marketing, where the money is. Whereas 70's and 80's bookers "married" the wrestlers, gave them wins and losses, and threw the occasional curveball, but allowed the audience to help shape the blow off, and sometimes even the next storyline(s). Two words explains it: Roman Reigns. Fans hate him (for the most) part, and even his cousin, The Rock, couldn't give him a rub to get him over, but VKM has always seen nothing but dollar signs in him, so he'll be a face forever, so VKM can market the shit out of him. They could've made him a heel for a year or so, then turned him, bringing the audience along, and make the same money that way, but this is VKM and his old, outdated way of thinking about the business. |
