The fact that nobody buys that the main event might be in jeopardy makes the entire thing a complete comedy skit. Why didn't they do some serious taped backstage interviews where they talk about how much this means, historic main event, make it feel grand.
I've probably never felt more underwhelmed by a Mania card. The must see stuff is very predictable and it doesn't matter if that's a good thing, for me it does take away some of that mystique and fun. Everyone gets more excited when they really can't make a more than pretty good guess beforehand on what the match outcome will be. I can't see any matches being jaw dropping good, they'll be slightly elevated weekly TV matches. It's Mania, we better get one 'Asuka vs. Flair' level match but I can't pick even one for which that'll be. A lot of it is just there and either feels exhausted because they've already done so much and gone all over the place to the point of the feeling of just get it over with already or simply not done enough because they rushed it. |

Kofi/Bryan has the best chance, with a dark horse chance from Rollins/Lesnar. I'd say Joe/Rey but with 15 matches in total I can easily see that one getting squeezed down to only 6-10 minutes. Same for why Styles probably won't pull it out of Orton.
A problem is I expect both Shane/Miz and HHH/Batista to go on MUCH longer than they should, especially since they have stips that seem to encourage such a thing as well as the egos. I'll just go ahead and call it now that Shane loses after jumping off something stupid. |

The sad part is most of the roster works their asses off. Its not them. Its the writing and the McMahons that have lost their way. They are so used to having no competition they don't even try any more.
Wrestling's best days of the last 40-50 years were when WWE, WCW, and ECW were all competing for the viewers. |

I feel like I've seen Kofi and Bryan twenty times already. There are bound to be shenanigans involved and I can't see them pulling off anything above decent.
Anybody see Kofi clam up on SmackDown. Clearly forgot his lines and cut a shit promo that ended up not really making sense, good grief, it was horrid. Sure... Bryan is scared of Kofi, the same guy that wanted to face Lesnar... Do they rehearse the promos in ring because it might help to realize it might not be such a great thing for certain guys. Since they gave away the phenomenal forearm rko spot, I think they'll try the springboard 450 into an rko for the finish at WM. Should have that jaw drop factor if they pull it off right. Vince isn't letting the indie darling get the win, he has to make his company guys the supreme looking, like when Sting lost to HHH. |

The very first show that I went to was the 1991 Survivor Series. I got to see my all time favorite, the man that got me into wrestling (The Undertaker) win the WWE Championship live.
I also went to the 1992 Royal Rumble a couple of months later.
