Yeah, Raw has felt a little dead lately and I honestly feel like it's because they don't have the Universal title sitting around week after week with people actually vying for it. I know they like having it on Brock so they can have huge matches at the Pay Per Views but I feel like it's not really working got the weekly stuff unlike SmackDown where they've got a visible belt on a visible champion who involved every week in some manner.

Funny how Brock is essentially hurting the show but when he shows up everybody goes into mark out mode. I think the last time Brock did this hiatus Cena was doing that open invitational US challenge shtick. I could be way off but felt like they were using that as a temporary fix.
Now I guess they think Shield and Braun are enough. I have not gotten into the Shield, their New Day match got good towards the end, but wasn't really doing it for me like they would with the Wyatts. Braun they cool down then try and bring him back up again, it'll only work so many times. I hope he wins the Rumble but if they are going the Reigns route like the insiders have expressed then I can't see it happening. |

They really need to take the belt off of Brock regardless of if he's staying or going and they need to do it before Mania, like Rumble early, and build up to something truly awesome, something big, like they use to do for Mania and you just can't do that when your main Champion, and because of the whole Raw is the A Show attitude they have going on Brock would be considered the main Champion, isn't around to really BUILD a story over the course of a month or two months.
However I don't see that happening because they killed the chance to have build ups twice, once with Joe ( though he did get hurt not long after his match with Brock ) and then again with Braun which I think they didn't pull that trigger because they felt that maybe he wasn't 100% ready. He's entertaining as hell, I've enjoyed him ever since he showed up, but he's not a 'wrestler' yet. So yeah they killed those two shots right there. Now onto the Shield reunion. It's been okay, it hasn't been spectacular but then again that's because they really can't let the Shield be the Shield. I mean they really can't have them running over talent like they did when the Shield first started out, with all the indy talent and NXT talent they wanna build in, and no real factions like there was with the Authority, before the break up. Without those two things you can't really let the Shield run around like they were. No Wyatts. No New Day. No Factions. Plus these three have had decent single runs since the breakup so at the moment it feels both nostalgic and a little weird to have the Shield together. And Reigns winning at Mania, I'd say it comes down to who they have the belt on at that time and how much they build it up but in all honesty I really hope they don't do that. I'd actually prefer Strowman, Joe, or even Balor get the belt. Strowman because he's entertaining and seems to have been built into a monster babyface heel which is working for him. Joe because he could easily be RAWs biggest asset in becoming their top heel. Balor, well he never lost the title to begin with and never got fair shot at it upon his return plus I'd love to see him get out of the dumbassery they've been with him that hasn't even let him climb back into the upper mid card. I mean for fuck sakes if they still had guys like Wade Barrett, Jack Swagger, and Cody Rhodes around he'd be trading wins and loses with them week after week after week despite none of them being bad. |

I enjoyed watching Smackdown Live, going in without knowing the current storyline(s) it was interesting.
I would watch next week. AJ styles match was great for a small filler. Was hoping to see Bobby Roode in action after that promo but that will be another week I guess. I hope they use this "Riot Squad" properly rather than using it to get rid of a few of the NXT women. I know Liv Morgan has a great range of move sets in the ring - which surprised me. Ruby Riot also is willing to push the limits too, which is what Smackdown needs. I watch NXT every week, easy to skip matches if I have to, as its only a short show. Looks like NXT is better than RAW atm from Twitter comments and posts made here. I just wish they had less restrictions on their tapings, they've stopped hitting anyone with a chair now - I understand there is reasoning behind it, but if you only get hit once you can make it weak enough to be like getting hit by a soccer ball. They get paid to push the boundaries and they would get massive merch cheque boosts if superstars opted to do so. They also get fined for swearing, even off mic... |

I knew keeping him in my avatar would bring him back... (I can't be arsed to change it)
We'll see if it's any good though. He seemed unscripted so I guess that is a win. Now if only we can get Hurricane back for one last run lol. |

It's nice that WWE has finally gotten the character that made Matt so popular in TNA or whatever it's called and all over the Indy scene but let's not get too excited yet, we've only gotten one promo out of him in the beginnings of this WWE version of that persona. Hopefully it's not a one off for this Bray Wyatt stuff and if it isn't let's hope it's allowed to run like it did otherwise it'll suck.
Jeff shall need to be Brother Nero! .. and get the boat or whatever it became. Have Matt run around the backstage area with a recorder drone or whatever while he's not doing anything. |

Sure it'll be a toned down version but at least it brightens up a dull show and it might reinvigorate Bray. Most of his escapades were outside of the ring though so are they really gonna dip in and give him a budget to do stuff. They rarely ever give talent shit with costly extra expenses unless it's Braun destroying something.

Yay! Braun destroying shit! But yeah I do understand what you're saying about Bray, unfortunately he just fell kinda flat once they broke up the Wyatt family which is why they really need to either bring Harper & Rowan to RAW to rebuild that or return him to Smackdown. Sure he can be a singles wrestler like he's always been but he's better as a singles wrestler in a faction. Plus those two are great wrestlers and an even greater tag team but this Bash'em Brother thing isn't going to work well for them, both the Mighty Ducks and Undertaker & Kane did it better for God's sake.

Okay, what the fuck was that? Remember when Rusev was a monster? When he destroyed everyone he appeared? I don't think I'll be ever to take him serious ever again just because he's singing a song to HBK's Sexy Boy.
