I somewhat enjoyed Backlash for what it was. Main sucked but when you put it up against matches from ages ago then it held up well lol. We all know Jinder has been rushed but that is how they book these days. I doubt the Indians give a flying fuck, they still love Khali because he's a freak. If Jinder beats Triple H or Brock then maybe they'll give a crap about him.

I agree that Cena is looking the most likely to beat him. I think because AJ had a lengthy-ish reign recently they don't want to put the belt back on him yet. They know that US belt is meaningless so it wouldn't have done anything for him. No wonder they didn't bring him up the usual way. They did the same with JBL though where he shot to the top out of nowhere but back then heels could still somewhat get heat and JBL got enough and a barbaric match to boot. Jinder put on a turban, a suit, found a Doug and Danny Singh and started pulling a grumpy face. We're all left going he looks a bit different and that's about it, he's still jobber Jinder. The belt is just a prop, the guy makes the title, they are hoping the title makes the guy here.

The thing is WWE and Vince don't make good decisions anymore hence the universal title is on a guy who doesnt even show up anymore, the wwe title is on a guy because Vince has a hard on for his physique and they continue to cram Roman Reigns down peoples throats.

It's why i feel they should of had Jinder as U.S Champion to build him up a bit (if they are pushing him WWE should at least do it correctly) more and Owens as WWE Champion because there its makes more sense plus Kev on the mic is great.

I'm only pleased Jinder won because Randy Orton bores me, i think he's been phoning it in for years and he gave up 10 years ago, i'd of been happy whoever was in the match beating Orton.

It's tough who's going to beat Mahal because i've read they want to give him a lengthy title reign thou we'll see after Smackdown tonight, Cena is in a tight spot because if he wins he beats Flairs record, Orton is just dull, Owens is U.S Champion atm, Harper or AJ are good possible choices or if they built it up correctly i'd like to see Sami Zayn take it from Jinder.

I feel the same way about Bray Wyatt. Great monster heel and the best mic guy in the company (except for maybe Heyman and he isn't a wrestler). Bray feuds with everyone and then jobs on almost every PPV. They should have given him the championship belt and let him run with it for a whole year. Not to mention he can take bumps well and knows about 100 more moves then Roman.

Doing a number of moves mean nothing. Despite the bad rush job of Jinder, he is still a better champion alternative than someone like Sami Zayn. Zayn can do 200 moves but none of that matters.

On the subject of 3MB, Mahal recalled running into Heath Slater backstage at a TV taping, who was bragging about getting his own faction. While the man behind Impressive Pelvis Welsey may have thought 3MB would include Fandango and Dean Ambrose, those spots would be filled with best friends Mahal and Drew Mcintyre instead.

"I came to TV. I can't remember where we were. Right when I got to the building, I see Heath Slater. He's like, 'man, I just had a meeting with Vince [McMahon]. I'm going to get my own band!' [Mahal asked], 'who's going to be in it?' He said, 'I don't know, man.' Johnny Curtis wasn't Fandango at the time and he was coming to TV. Surprisingly enough, Dean Ambrose was coming to TV. [Slater said], 'well, maybe Ambrose' not knowing that [he was going to The Shield]. They had other plans for him. And I jokingly said, 'watch, I'll be in the band.' Completely joking! So Drew McIntyre is my best friend. He's like my brother, so I was hanging around Drew ringside and one of the writers called him over, Kevin Eck. Kevin Eck calls Drew over and I just stumble down the hall, 'oh, I'm going to go to catering.' I come in the hallway and I see Scotty, Scott Armstrong, 'oh, Scotty, the card's out. What do I got?' And I think it was Heath Slater versus Brodus Clay with Drew McIntyre, Jinder Mahal, and Rhyno."

According to Mahal, the original plan for 3MB was for the band to get caught lip-syncing. Of course, the storyline never played out on WWE programming. Though the trio may be tempted to blame it on the rain, Mahal blamed it on Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins.

"The plan was a Milli Vanilli type [of lip-syncing situation]. I think even Vince was like, 'we're going to do that where you guys get caught lip-syncing' or whatever like that." Mahal continued, "at the same time, like, a week or two later, [The] Shield came and the attention was sort of shifted. I remember even at one time, we went to RAW and we weren't booked and they were like, 'Vince only wants one three-man group.' They were like, 'oh, you guys will be on SmackDown.' We weren't on SmackDown. We were on Superstars."

That's a great 3MB story. I always did get the idea that they were planning bigger things for them until the Shield came along and became the focus.

Now with Jinder as Smackdown champ, and Drew as likely future NXT champ, can Heath Slater be the one to dethrone Brock Lesnar and become WWE champion? Stranger things have happened. And he is one of the most over wrestlers on the roster.

I love that Jinder won the title. He's 100 times better than boring ass Orton. And everyone always says they want new blood in the main event. I think the real reason people don't want him there is because they don't like him personally. Take a guy who has been treated like primarily a jobber like Sami Zayn and let him win the title and people would go nuts. Nobody would be talking about, "Well, he wasn't built up enough first." You guys don't like Jinder for ridiculous reasons. He's on roids? So what? So were most every successful wrestler in history. He's not the greatest in ring? Since when is that important? He can put on serviceable matches. He has good intensity and is giving decent promos too. Let's give him a chance and see what he can do.

And bottom line is, his heat is phenomenal. I remember hearing somebody note, "People are upset that the bad guy won." You Jinder haters are playing right into Vince's hands.

Tonights SD very plainly shows Vince made Jinder the WWE champ to snag the Indian market. Not for any other reason (like he deserved it). See all the Indian media outlets reporting on his being the champ?

I may not be completely on board with it, but at least Jinder's character makes sense. He's a heel with a goon squad and he cheats to win. At this point I think I could accept him having a longish reign before losing via briefcase to Owens/Corbin. If he loses to a returning Cena the internet would riot, to Nakamura at Summerslam could play though.

Orton has been messed up ever since he broke off from Bray. The guy desecrates the remains of the other guys sister, burns down his house/shed and gets cheered?? Because we can't have Bray be in the grey area while keeping Orton as a pure dickhead heel? To a degree the story made sense long term wise in that Randy went back to face and got the win at Mania, but it seemed really stupid in the moment.

I agree that Randy has been really boring since he broke off from the Wyatt family.
Jinder on the other hand has exceeded expectations. Other than Rusev he is probably the only other genuine bad guy. All he has to do is say something. Then the booing and USA chats begin. Still works. Maybe even bring back Khali if he can still walk. Then Jinder has a giant under his control.

That brings up an interesting question. Who does deserve it? Does anybody? This isn't a legit sporting competition where the best in their field actually wins. The belt is given to the champ for whatever reason those in charge see fit. So doesn't Jinder "deserve" it as much as anyone else?

I doubt he'll lose to another heel, unless they turn Owens or Corbin face. I can definitely see Nakamura though. Maybe AJ or a real long shot, Sami Zayn?

I never understood that shit with Orton. You tell anybody that story; one guy joins another's "family" only to deceive him and destroy it from the inside, then burns down his house and violates the grave of his dead sister. Who looks like the villain and who is the hero? I don't understand why fans would cheer stuff like that. It isn't like Stone Cold stunning his mean boss. Those are acts that, like, serial killers commit.

Did anyone else watch Raw this week? Good lord was it a chore sitting through that "This is Your Life" segment. It went way too long and went nowhere, and the other actors involved were atrocious. Good thing Alexa is hot or I would have changed the channel and not come back.
