They have a lot of top quality wrestlers / performers, now they need something to spruce it up. They really need another faction built up or something different. Its all been done before, but if you do it properly and with the right touch it still works.

The original booing was because the fans felt that Reigns was being forced on them since the WWE has always favored big guys. Now, the WWE has decided to just go with it and create this character who is neither a face or a heel but someone who will take on anyone (a little like the Undertaker). Don't think for one minute that the crowd on Monday wasn't being lead on by the people the WWE had planted in the audience to start the reaction to Reigns when he was in the ring. It felt like it was totally following the script.

The silent treatment would be effective the problem is the fans know Vince is gonna push him regardless what happens, alot of these fans had to sit through 10 years of SuperCena being crammed down the fans throats and now they are gonna do it all over again with Reigns and fans have just had enough, the Superman booking of him is another reason why the fans dislike him because just like it was with Cena why would the fans cheer for Superman if he's never in any sort of peril and just run's through everyone.

Also with Reigns is other then the fact he never changed from his Shield gear whereas Dean and Seth did he looks quite tragic everything about him just screams bad guy with the way he acts and such but yet they seem him a good guy.

He could get over if he went back to training and learned some new moves. Fans know a guy can't carry a whole match with just 2 moves (spear and superman punch). He has a cool look to him and he has a bad ass persona but whoever he wrestles has to do all the work while he just stands there and spams one of his two moves.

Has anyone ever watched the anime series Shingeki no Kyojin (aka Attack On Titan)? It is an anime series about Giant Titans that exist on an island and they hunt and eat humans. The Titans come in all sizes from 10' to 200' tall. Some Titans have names and are part of the ongoing story. One of them is called The Armored Titan due to his massive size and power. The animes Wiki page lists an interesting fact:

In a post on his blog, author Hajime Isayama stated that the Armored Titan's physique was based on that of professional wrestler and mixed martial artist Brock Lesnar.

If you have not seen it yet the series is quite good and very popular. The second season just started this past week.
