If one can't be pretty much assured that these things (among other criteria) can be answered to our satisfaction- what's the basis of a long standing relationship such as marriage then?

Sure divorce rates are astronomically high but are there actually fucked up people who go through the hassle, expense, and grief of going through the ceremony (be it fancy, courthouse steps or Vegas drive-thru) with the expressed ambition of getting a divorce soon after??

Well, ideally marriage is supposed to be about something higher. Romantically speaking.

But for others it can just be an association where you get something you want. The girl is looking for a way to have money and not have to do anything anymore except occasionally have some kind of sexual relations with John Q.

I recall too hearing about like older sex performers in Japan (by older, I mean 30's) trying to find a sugar daddy to marry so they could take it easy. But at their age they were having a rough time. One woman... her dental health wasn't that great.

From what I can tell Claire Robbins has a rather normal life post-porn...and she struck me as pretty normal like even in porno.

I treated the question "would you marry a pornstar" as "would you marry a pronstar everything else being as equal as possible". Having drug addictions or low self esteem, being stupid or notoriously unfaithful and whatever not isn't even part of the mix. Even if she was able to separate her job from her love life and would be the most level-headed person in the world, the stuff I wrote above and in my other posts in here would still kick in.
