1. If they find she is actually innocent, then no, her life is not ruined, because everyone who heard she was arrested would also hear why the authorities let her go.

Not as ruined as it would be if she is found guilty of the sexual abuse of a child under the age of 10: a long stretch in prison cannot compare to loosing ones porn career.

It's not just about her career in porn. Employers in any industry might not give her a job because of this, banks don't want to do business with her and will deny credit and it could even be difficult to find a place to live. If she wouldn't be in prison, she would technically be homeless since all assets have been liquidated. In short: Everything that involves a background check may become difficult. Some factors also have dependencies on each other which could lead to a domino effect.

And I think all of this goes without saying. It has happened in the past and will continue to happen. It's a form of discrimination that is very real, even if it might be against the law.

If found innocent, she may qualify for state indemnity for unjust preventive detention, and thus start a new life away from California, or even from the USA?

Sorry mate, but this is really, really, really naive.

Do you really believe that after being locked up for 2+ years, she will be able to return to her career, to her neighbourhood, to her friends? The fact is that "porn star arrested for child molesting" is much more eye-catching news than "porn star, arrested for child molesting, cleared of all charges". Most people will never hear of her innocence, and some of those who will won't believe it. If you google her name, what do you think will dominate the results?

How many porn companies will consider her name too much of a liability and never shoot her again? It's not like there is any shortage of MILFs to cast.

How many landlords will refuse her?

How many of her friends and family members have severed all ties with her?

Not to mention the psychological impact of being locked up for two years.

She will probably be able scrape a living by working for 3rd-tier porn studios and doing 0nIy suckers/m@nyvids etc, but she will be starting again from zero. And the longer she is imprisoned without trial, the harder it will be to return to something resembling normal life afterwards. By pretty much all definitions, that is her life ruined.

I'm not saying I believe she is innocent. I believe she is probably guilty. What I am saying, is that I find it sickening that someone is held for two years without a trial.

Given this huge plane crash of a situation, it's doubtful that she'd get any job in the forseeable future, no matter in which profession, even if she's found innocent. And in the adult industry in particular, I can't imagine anyone wants to be seen anywhere near her. The risk would be so much higher than any potential gains.
