It sounds like Eve has some long lasting mental issues and is going through a bit of a crisis. It also sounds like drugs aren't involved, except for a problem getting the psyche meds she needs. Her husband and family has turned their back on her after involuntarily committing her to a mental asylum. Before casually tossing out an 'Oh, well' look at all the circumstances and realize this woman needs some kind of help. I'm not saying throw a bunch of money at her but maybe finding someone who can reach out and offer her the assistance she needs. Because it sounds like her asshole ex has completely turned her world upside down.
