After a ten-year run, Cody Rhodes (AKA Stardust) wrote on his personal Twitter account Saturday afternoon that he has asked to be released from WWE.

I kind of liked his weird Stardust gimmick, great theme music and all.
Very underrated performer.

Stardust was great, but he never got a push with it. Cody was a solid guy, could work either side and a plus on the stick. He can probably thrive in the indies with ease. I wonder if this would cause Eden to leave also...

I wasn't a fan of the Open Challenge, it was just a excuse for Cena to bury the roster one by one and the pay off was lame, Seth Rollins (who i do like) winning it even though he was World Champion at the time then Cena wins it back off him yet they couldnt of had Kevin Owens take it off him, the worst thing it's gonna most likely happen again with Rusev winning at the PPV and Cena beating Rusev for the title then open challenge again where there are new guys for Cena to bury.

I'm a couple of weeks behind on NXT, but it doesn't sound like I've missed much. I might drop the network soon. I had it mostly for NXT and the PPVs, but NXT sucks compared to how it used to be and I still haven't seen Payback so it's not like I'm dying to see the PPVs either. Blake and Murphy don't even have separate personalities, why break them up? It would be like breaking up the 2 Usos. Do they really see either of them as a big singles star?

Stardust was fun but they did nothing with him. Although this might just be a way for "Stardust" to be released and there's the return of Cody Rhodes, which wouldn't be the worst thing.

You guys can say what you will about the lack of Cena, and honestly I haven't missed him either. But at least with his US open challenge we were pretty much guaranteed one really good match on Raw every week, which is all you can ask for from the guy.

Again the booker I listen to said he'd fire Cody for not having the body and he probably only got in because of his family. I usually agree but Cody is good and owned whatever he was given, much like Sandow. It's a bitch but I guess he didn't see anything in the future there. Perhaps he can join Sandow and reform their tag team.

As for Cena, what's the point of caring anymore. At least the guy can talk and is actually seen as a valid star unlike Reigns. Yea he wins way too often and isn't an underdog but he's booked that way so isn't Vince more to blame?

And yet another women's championship match ruined by the finish. And now, presumably, one of the tallest, strongest women on the roster has a heater who's probably the only one more powerful than her. What a great idea...NOT. At least when Seth was getting booked all those smoz finishes J&J were smaller than him and could get wrecked by the other guy in retaliation.

Speaking of Seth, looks like he is returning to the top of the card but alignment is a worry to me if he's facing Roman. Seth's a great heel, but as we saw, he will probably get cheered against Roman. I guess the better question is who would draw boos against Roman and get Roman to draw cheers at this point? Because I think right now Roman needs to just go heel and might as well turn the Usos as well. He's accepted he'll get booed and having him try to be a grey in a black and white world just seems wrong for him.

They already buried Gallows finisher in Smackdown lol, talk about wasting talent. Tbf they buried the Styles Clash the 2nd time AJ used it.

It is a way to distance AJ from the Styles Clash. I'm not surprised they gave him another finisher. Two wrestlers had their neck broken in the past three years (Lionheart and Yoshitatsu) and another was dropped on the top of their head (Roderick Strong).

I don't think most people understand an actual "burial". Cena didn't bury anyone during the US challenge, nor did he bury Sandow. A wrestler higher on the card losing a close contest has long been a way of putting over a wrestler lower on the card without the higher card wrestler having to take a loss. The problem is that creative can't book for shit. Someone who knew how to book would have had Sandow come out of his loss to Cena and be elevated. He might have changed the way he wrestled slightly (ie becoming more vicious), or started using a new finisher. He would have won one of the major titles and held it for almost a year before being elevated the main card.

While I do not like Cena, the US challenge gave some prestige to the title and was one of the better segments on Raw, and was some of the best matches Cena had been in. Cena really seemed to relish being in that position. Outside of his matches with Punk, Sandow, and Cesaro, they were the few matches in the past five years where the looked like he wasn't going by the numbers.

Who do you listen to? I think you've made references to Court Bauer, but I don't recall Court saying anything negative about Cody. I see Cody Rhodes going to NJPW, that is if he still wants to wrestle. He has the name pedigree and the skills that would put him immediately in the main event, and they need some quality main event talent. I don't see him a fit for the Bullet Club, however. He would probably steal Michael Elgin's place on the card, but be even higher.

I think they made a mistake in the main event. It is too early for Reigns/Rollins. Ideally their first singles match should be at Summerslam, which is in August. Since they've already brought Rollins back, I'd have an eight man main event at MiTB with Reigns, the Usos, and Cena vs The Club and Rollins. I'd then have Reigns vs AJ vs Rollins at the next PPV. The Club with a debuting Balor costs Styles leading to AJ/Balor and Reigns/Rollins at Summerslam. They'll find some way to fuck up Summerslam.
